Hi PlushPuppy,
With taxidermy eyes I'd suggest needle sculpting an eye socket so that the eyes aren't just popping out on the face and then using a glue to hold them in place since they don't have a loop to sew on, after that needle felt some eyelids to secure them even further. Goodluck!

Yup, I also found that FIMO is the best for making claws out there as well! I usually make sure I get the kind that says "Soft" as well, its not quite as dry as the original and its not as hard (regular works just fine after you play with it for a bit but i've had times when its too brittle to even get started.. I think some people actually run it through a noodle machine first or so I've heard bear_grin ). You bake it in the oven for around 20 minutes at around 230F/110C.

Hey there Teddy Talkers! It's almost Valentines day and Cupid has been searching for love in all the wrong places! This little dragon is 3.5 inches long and has a wingspan of just 4 inches. More pictures on my blog bear_wub .

Hi Everyone! Its been a while since I made anything I have been so busy but I still come on Teddy Talk to see all the new creations bear_original . I've been inspired by all the beautiful dragons lately and I figured it was time I tried making something new as well! This little guy is just a prototype, my first attempt at a dragon and his name is Leaf. He's 2 cm tall, 4 cm long, and 5 cm wide (including his wings). He is entirely movable with wire running from tail to snout and everywhere in between. Leaf is made from ultra suede and his little spikes are made from FIMO clay. More pictures are on my blog bear_flower .
Hugs- Heidi

Hi everyone! I have never bought a bear before because of the price but now that I have been making my own for a while I have begun to realize really how much time and effort it takes to make one. So as I have been searching around for my first bear to buy I feel overwhelmed, there are so many different styles out there, fabrics, sizes, and even techniques. It is so difficult trying to choose that "perfect bear" bear_wacko . My question to you is what do you look for when buying? What qualities or characteristics make that bear so special to you that it catches your eye? Everyone has their different views and no two people see things exactly the same way.. so Teddy-Talkers what does the perfect bear look like to you?  bear_grin
