Schools are usually very grateful for scraps. They are great for collage pictures in art. We also use them to add ears or wings or general decorations to stuffed animals made in design and technology classes.
You could also contact the local wildlife sanctuary, they may be glad of it to use for bedding.
I've made bears that I've finished and 'hated'. Trouble is I seem to sell them first!! The first one that I considered binning i put in a sale box for pennies and some one completely fell in love. Since then I've believed that every bear has someone for them - some bears have been taken apart, noses restitched dozens of times etc., etc., but....
No accounting for taste!
I've still got my bear given to me when I was born. He's a white Wendy Boston and still goes every where with me. he's been patched, repatched, covered and recovered and he knows all!!!
Daphne,
Here in the UK, I have a metal frame from which I hang curtains to separate me from my neighbors. It creates your own little shop-like feeling. The colour and design of the curtains can be used to create the atmosphere you want.

WOW!!!!! Stunning!!
Hi,
I've been airbrushing a whole piece of mohair - using the copic system. It has left the mohair not quite as soft as it was and I wondered what would happen if I wash it now!? Has anyone else tried? I've used multiple colours and don't want them to run!!!!!!
I put a sign that says:
Feel free to hug the bears. Clean hands please.
Strangely enough having the sign giving permission seems to make people think twice. I often see kids checking their hands!
