For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
What a lovely room for your studio, Terry! Maybe you could store those closet doors somewhere and insert a freestanding cabinet or shelving unit? Or leave it as a closet and have the space to hang all of your fur fabric? Lots of good possibilities there.

There is short-pile wool fabric out there (from various suppliers), and you could also look at alpaca, which can have a stiffer feel than mohair and a matte finish (like wool has).
I also love those vintage wool toys, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you create!

I love the whole family, Nina! (Mama Bear is my favorite. I really like the shape of her nose and her whole expression.)

Wow indeed! You did a much better job than the press photos of showing us the in-the-fur bears that were on display. I'm pretty smitten with the little Strunz!
Thanks for sharing,
Becky
I love this cute bear, and his clothes and shoes, too! What a lovely friend.

Wow, impressive! And lucky that the knee pain can be overcome for special circumstances.

It sounds fascinating! (Though I disagree with the artist's minimalization of the teddy bear as phenomenon of the 20th century.) If you do go, I'd love to hear what you thought of the show!

Very lovely, Cosette! I really like the soft colors and the strong rabbit legs (for jumping, of course).

Hi Sarah,
I can see why you're pleased with this bear! He's a major cutie.
I can't really speak to minis (though Sassy fabric is very popular, I believe) or child-safe bears, but for affordable mohair in the States, check out our site sponsor, Intercal Mohair! Johnna and her team can give advice if you need it, and they carry a nice selection.
Welcome aboard!

Great memes... I'd love to have a neighbor just like that bear, by the way!
