Chowlea Bears

Hi everyone - as you can see I've changed my ID.

I've grown up

Can I thank everyone here on TT who has helped me.

Speedy recovery - can someone loan you a laptop?

Watch you don't overdo it after the surgery.  I understand these things take time.

Can I add congratulations along with everyone else

Shelli - another new avatar?   Whose this chap?

Just goes to prove - there are really more nice people on this planet than not. Only they hide their light under a bushel,

What's that saying ... its better to light a candle that shout at the darkness.

Thanks for the info folks - I've led a sheltered life.

I agree - highly recommend them.  Easy to follow, good illustrations and written in a style to suit novice and experienced student alike.  (Comments from a retired teacher coming through here?).

Hope you enjoy it.

.............. I tried to download this months 'brushes'...it put them in a PDF file as usual, but when I went to my Elements software to incorporate the brushes to a file there...I got this window about Rasterizing this generic PDF file.   bear_wacko   I wasn't afraid of a virus but I was afraid of messing the file up.

nanc.....

Hi Tracy

Have we got the latest medical bulletin for Midget?

Sandra

Its a bit complicated isn't it?

Sandra

Very glad to hear all is well.     She seems to be making good progress.

Tracy - I'm so sorry about Midget.  I've owned and bred dogs all my life - its very hard to watch them hurting and feel so useless.  Provided her kidneys are fine - she'll bounce back with incredible speed - just you see.

Try to keep upbeat and positive my friend - she will feel your vibes.

I assume by now your vet has done a culture to identify the strain of infection and use a more focussed antibiotic if a wide spectrum one isn't 'hitting' it.

You'll be pleased to know it absolutely lashing it down with rain here.  Flash floods and everything.

The grass is always greener and all that.

Funny - if it wasn't for the weather, a whole area of conversation would disappear.

I'm with Melanie on this one.

One hot day and you rush round like a mad thing trying to get all your outdoor tasks done - just in case this is the only nice day your going to get.  Its a bit like knitting really, when you getting to the end of your yarn and you knit the row furiously to get to the end before it runs out - stupid really - there's never enough.

Its the annual exam season in the next few days for secondary students - its usually 'cracking the flags' then you can almost guarantee it.

Judi - you know what they say - a weed is a plant growing  in the wrong place - that all.

Could I thank you all again for your kind words and for taking the time to post.

Sandra   oops

Did the synthetic stretch when you stuffed him? I had that problem on one.
What was hard? Did you have to do any parts over? What did you learn, &
are there things you wanna try differently next time?

I'm just fascinated by the learning path of bearmaking. & it's a great treat to
have a community like this

a) Henry is fully lined (I wanted to insure against the possibility)
b) I always find the head time consuming because I'm a bit tentative about it.
c) I learned to walk away if I felt all was not going well, and to come back to it later.
d) I want to try different design things such as the shape of the body parts. I don't want to do mass production - but to push myself and have each one different if I can.

I'm grateful for your interest.

Thanks

O.K.  Your foot has connected with my posterior    Sometimes I need that.  Self esteem is not something I have in abundance.

I'll get there..
