What wonderful video's and pictures of the bear cub. He is so adorable, trying to climb the tree.
I wish I had $ 15.000 to sponsor him, so I could name him.
I have to provide 3 references.
I will provide a reference for you SueAnn, if you think it will carry any weight.
I have a lot of experience looking after bears .... well, teddy bears !
Thanks for sharing that with us and good luck with the job application and the interview !
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
or maybe he's looking for the www.ilovecarrots.com website
I think little Lisbeth is adorable, Claudia.
She has a very sweet expression and I also love the ears.
The "old style" look works very well, because she is still very cute and cuddly.
Hugs

My virtual visit to Alice Springs arrived today !
It looks fabulous, Clare : the magnificent scenery, the wide open spaces.
It is difficult for me to imagine what it must be like living there, having grown up in the city.
And the nearest city is 1500 km away Have you got your own plane to get to the city ??
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Getting a tad worried here looks like noone has 'come' to Alice Springs yet!
Clare, I am sorry to hear that, because I sent you a postcard as well.
I will PM you the address that I put on the enveloppe; if it's not correct, send the right one to me and I will make sure you get another card (extra large ).
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
I think he still needs a little work as he seems very ordinary to me...he has no WOW factor.
I have absolutely no idea what you mean, Shanna !
He isn't ordinary at all and I think he has plenty of WoW factor, especially for a first big bear.
I can't help you with all the technical details, but I can tell you that I think he is adorable and that he could very well join any teddy bear show and he wouldn't be out of place.
Moreover, suppose your first bear was perfect, what motivation would you have left to make ever better and lovelier bears ?
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
She is lovely, Katy and I am sure your mother will be delighted.
I am wondering though : ... South African mohair ... big feet ... -> she isn't a football player is she ??
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Thank you all everyone for the lovely comments; I really appreciate it !
The "harvest" from the Stratford show was excellent.
I will look forward to seeing part two of your collection...is there a part three too

Laurie
Yes Laurie, part two will follow next week and then ... part three (all I can tell you know is that sizes will increase
).
Maria, when the show was over it was raining (in England ???); luckily Dawn James had one of those huge Ikea bags with her, so I could put the bears in the bag and cover them with other plastic bags. But I would have loved to carry them in my arms (if I had six arms  ).
Hugs to you all.

Hi Everyone,
The Teddy Bear Artist Event last weekend was a delightful show and I enjoyed myself tremendously.
But one day goes by so quickly and all you have left are the memories. But do you ?
I wonder if there is anybody out there who thought I would go home empty handed ?
Those of you who know me a bit better surely know the answer to that question : NO WAY !!
So I am very happy to present two teddies that came home with me to Belgium.
This is one of Pauline Wood's Valewood Bears, called "Treacle" (approx 12" tall, made from the softest alpaca mohair, with a beautiful handknitted scarf and hat)
Pauline, it was lovely chatting with you at the show and I will make sure "Treacle" is very happy here in my home.
The second bear is one of Pam Howells' teddies (approx. 16" tall, made from golden wavy mohair and with a diamond studded collar). Unfortunately he hasn't got a name yet, because Pam has run out of names in the 35 years (!) she has been making bears. So for the time being he is still "a bear with no name"
They look quite happy together :
You may have read in the title of this post : "part 1" ??? Yes, I'm afraid these were NOT the only two bears who came home with me. More will follow ...
Hugs,

Hi Susan,
I read your story and all the advice here and I can imagine you are feeling horrible at the moment.
The rules and regulations of governments and local counsels are often incomprehensible,
but if you have checked out all the possibilities and there is absolutely no way to avoid it,
then it still is not the end of the world (though a bloody nuisance ).
You still have your husband, you have your lovely dogs, you have your bears and you both
have your work and basically you like living there.
I know it's going to be tough for a couple of months while you have to rent a place that is suitable for your dogs.
Maybe you could rebuild a house on the same land (and use the wood from you previous house in the open fire place )?
Doesn't the government give you any compensation for having to tear down your house?
I'm only trying to suggest some positive ways of looking at this.
I really hope things will work out for you and my bears and I are sending you lots of hugs.
Peter, Milo, Fudge & Jo-Jo
I'm glad I got to see her "in the fur", Marilyn, because she is absolutely adorable and quite a big girl as well (just as I like them )
I must apologize for not paying enough attention to your other bears at the Stratford show, but I was a bit star-struck by Beaumont.
Hugs,

I have just been to TEXAS as well ! Thank you Sue Ann for the postcard with the teddy bear stamp and the invitation.
Then I flew straight back to the UK and visited Katy in Glasgow. Next time I'm in Scotland, I will definitely have to pay a visit to Glasgow.
Thank you both for the great postcards.
Hugs,

You are treasure, Jane, for taking all these great photos and for letting the lucky ones who were there relive the day. Those who couldn't be there can enjoy all the wonderful bears and creatures that were there to see and hug. If you ever get the chance to visit the show, you mustn't miss the opportunity.
So a very big THANK YOU Jane; it was lovely seeing you and your daughter Sarah again.
The photos I took were completely messed up; this always happens when I am attending a show, because I get so excited about the bears that I completely forget how to take proper photos (and guys just can't do two things at the same time ).
There are just two I also wanted to share with you :
Samantha presenting one of the many prizes that "A Bear by Kim" won (many congrats Kim  )
Gregory Gyllenship with "Neville", who went home with me (Neville that is, not Gregory  )
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
I feel a tad embarressed in retrospect  as my reaction was screaming out "It's ME, its ME!!!" and rushing onto the stage declaring "oh that's the bear I WANTED. I WANTED that bear!".
Karon,
I was standing right next to Dawn James when they announced the winners and when you got all excited, Dawn said to me "Do you know who that is? That's Karon from TT." I wanted to introduce myself, but you were so excited with the teddy, I guessed I probably wouldn't get your attention.
Next time we should definitely be wearing TT badges !
Glad you liked the show as much as I did and congrats on winning Kim's bear!
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Ooooh, he does look gorgeous Dawn.
If only I had been earlier at the show, I could have seen him in the fur and give him a big hairy hug !
That will teach me to linger in Shakespeare's house, instead of going straight to the show.
I hope he has found a good home.
Hugs,
Peter, Leon, Alvin, Molly, Jack & Jill
The lattest update said that hope is going well and they showed a photo of her feeding at one of the feeding points
I told myself a thousand times I wouldn't let this story get to me ... but here I am checking every new post on FB.
I pray that this story will have a happy ending ...
Hugs,

Today I visited Canada and New-Zealand : all in one day !
Sandra, how amazing is that : living in the city that sees the first sunlight over the whole world . I would love to visit New Zealand, must be gorgeous.
Jeremy, thank you for the lovely photo of the "Hoon" (that's a Canadian Goose, of course ). Now, I would love to visit Canada as well ... difficult choice today !
Thank you both for the lovely cards !
Hugs,

What a lovely pair, Sue, they look so very happy together !
Sorry to hear that your Yorkie passed away , but I am sure he had a great life with you.
Hugs,
Peter, Bashful & Tramp
She is really magnificent, Sue. You captured the vintage style perfectly and she still looks very adorable.
has been aged using tea and coffee.
You mean to tell me she drank lots and lots of tea and coffee ???
Hugs,
Peter, Tramp & Bashful
If I were your hubby I would have snatched him up too, Amber !!
Such a great expression ("Hey, What's going on here ???") and lovely fur.
Hugs,

Today I got some good news and some bad news about the show :
Sue Brotherwood (Brotherwood bears) is having some health problems and won't be able to attend the show. Her Bears will be there however and so will her son Robin and his girlfriend Philippa. So if you pass her table, say Hi to them and give them your best wishes for Sue's recovery.
On the very positive side, the talented Brigitte Smith and her realistic Pawtrait Bears will be there !
Not long now ...
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Andrea, you are one lucky girl ! No wonder you are so happy, 26 years together and you love still grows stronger : Woo Hoo !
Have a great anniversary and at least 26 years more wonderful years to come. :bday:

Karon,
The Civic Hall is supposed to be a 5 minute walk from the train station :
You can find a lot of information about Stratford and this map at this address : http://www.visitstratforduponavon.co.uk/
I'm looking forward to seeing you there!
