Thank you, fellow TTers
I find my designs getting more and more complex but I just seem to be pulled in that direction . It's such a great thrill to struggle and struggle with a piece, even dream about how to make it work, and then have it come out somewhat the way I had envisioned. Now I have to get organized about writing down every step I take along the way to get to the end
ThaNkS , again

I've wanted to design a Tiger for some time, but I also wanted to make sure he would be a completely original Tiger that looked like no other Tiger soft sculpture. I settled on creating this young Tiger. I loved the innocent face of a young Tiger and the wonderful large paws and gangling body.

Chaucer's body is 21" and his tail is 11". He is created out of the finest quality Belgium faux fur. He is needle sculptured and has hand colored features, including an accurate Tiger coat pattern. He has realistic eyes set in hand made eye sockets and a sculptured ultra suede nose. His neck is double jointed and his back legs are loosely jointed. His front legs are armatured for posing. Chaucer has large realistic paws with sculptured leather paw pads. He is poly filled and his feet and belly are weighted with steel shot for the right feel and weight.
Oh no! It can't be turkey time already! Time is racing by HaPpY ThAnKsGivInG to TTers in Canada!
I love to cook, especially new recipes. This year I am going to make a turkey with a Peking Duck glaze. I've tried it on a chicken and BoY! is it good. ANd it goes really well with sweet potatoes and kale.
Tami,
Yep, it's true. I have never given him a penny and he doesn't play with pennies so I have no idea how he knows where, or what they are? Maybe because the first time he left one at his empty food dish I thanked him and he knows I like pennies?? HE does try to give me things. I guess he is very thankful for his rescue and new home Animals are amazing and, it's true, each has a very unique personality.

I have a rescued young cat that I adopted, Louie. He's not a beautiful cat, just plain cat~Louie. Louie at first started leaving me a seagull feather by the food dish during the night. Lately he has started leaving a penny/nite that I find in the morning when I feed him. No idea where he gets the penny? My only pennies are WAY up on a shelf meaning he would have to take the penny in his mouth?! A penny is a pretty good tip for someone without pockets ;-> 8 cents and counting......

Ellen,
Check out the archived topics. There was a long discussion on copyrights.
I've just received my Teddy Bear Review December Issue. This is the first week in October. Does that mean that this is their Holiday issue? Or will the February issue arrive before Christmas? Also their editor, Jessica Franchuk, has left and Carie Ferg is back as editor.
These cute guys are Otters. The woodland variety. We have both these and the larger Sea Otters out here in Seattle, WA USA.

Unbelievable How could you have made such a wonderful tiny Panda out of MINK, truly amazing. Congratulations!
Jane, Oh No! I don't want to make more work for you. It's enough that you share these wonderful photos with us! I don't mind looking up the names. I was just curious.
Karen
WonDerFul!! And a great variety of artists! Congratulations! I wish I could have been there to see these guys in person......some day. One question? Is there a reason that so few UK artists use their names in naming their business? I had to keep looking up the company names to try to find out the artist names.

HEllo! All ~
I made it home to Seattle. Chantilly was a great show, especially for a first time show! I think the hard work and careful planning of McKays and Wilsons was the key. It's an affordable show, the hotel was VERY comfortable and convenient, and at seems there are many collectors within driving distance of this show. I'll definitely be there next year  Here's the list of TOBY winners. I underlined the winners as they were announced.
Very cute! THe eyes are perfect
Karen
Hmm, smells like Dad
Oh! I so much want to make one of these cubs! I'll get to work on it when I get back from Chantilly

Mom WHy did we get him? He's not even cute! Look at ME
Wow! I didn't realize how hard it's become to find Gingher scissors?! They are more expensive but they are the sharpest and most durable scissors I have ever found. They work well on my heavy Belgium Faux fur. Here's where I found the best price as of today~http://www.amazon.com/Gingher-Knife-Edge-Sewing-Scissors/dp/B000UUABE0
Another important, but I can't say favorite, tool is my Oster, Golden A5 electric clippers. It's the best clipper I have found to shave faux fur but I'm still looking. This clippers is good but it takes constant cleaning and adjusting when you do a lot of shaving. Has anyone found a good electric clipper for teddy bear fur?
This was so great. Had to run/walk out to the store, on the way back I saw this guy on a bicycle pulling this baby carriage. I looked in and saw this old black lab lying there and looking out at the scenery. The guy was taking him to the beach but there are a lot of steep hills to the beach, here in Seattle, so this is how they worked out the trip so his dog could save his energy for beach stuff ;-) This is it, a double baby carriage that can be pulled behind a bicycle.
So many things! Probably my gingher scissors, expensive but worth it. I've had them sharpened many times. Then my dyeing and coloring equipment. I'm constantly refining what I use; coloring is so important with my cats.
Karen
Thank you, Cindy. That was very kind of you to say that.

Karen, We've got two of your kittens....for fun we put them down on the floor around the corner from our cats. We called our kitties and they stopped dead in their tracks!!! One hunched up her back trying to corner the "kitty"....it was hysterical! But we have to put them away immediately....terrible things could happen to them if I left them out!
Susie,
I don't think they could hurt them But they are repairable. I have a collector in Maine whom has had me repair two different cats at different times, that her puppy had chewed. I don't mind, made me smile, and the cats looked better than new when I finished.
Karen
Oh, yes, I can see into your soul!

P.S. What is cool about the slide show is that if you mouse over it you can stop the photo or go back and forth at your own pace. It's a free program and anyone can use it.
