Wow, I got nine cards this week  !! They are all so beautiful, I just have to share them with you.
This really is a fantastic initiative: each new day brings a ray of sunshine in these dark days .
Thank you Raewyn, Jill, Eva, Jane, Amber, Pat, Carolyn, Gail & Lynn !
P.S. These teddies just can't stand me taking pictures without one or more of them in it. The two ladies in the top picture are Chloé and Justine, made by French teddy bear artist Sylvie Amalric (ours perle-de-miel). The one in the second picture is Mr. Frosty by Ellie Covell (elliebears).
Hugs,

PS. The magazines arrived yesterday : looks like I've got a lot of reading to do
Hi Thomas,
Both Claude and Scrappy (or Scruffy ) are gorgeous.
What a lovely idea of Becky to put an extra bear in the box . Just goes to show what kind and generous people teddy bear people are
. So a big hug to you, Becky  (from Vincent and myself)!
I also loved your story about the box being delivered at your office and you taking them out immediately and giving them a big hug. What a way to show your love for the bears ! I applaud you, Thomas  .
I am afraid I'm not yet ready to come out and proclaim my love of the teddy in front of my colleagues  .
Hugs
Peter
Hi Jolene,
A very warm welcome to TT !
Charlie bears are a great way to start your own hug of teddy bears. I have several of them myself and they are really adorable. Mind you, you have to keep an eye on them, because they will get up to all sorts of mischief when you're not looking (well most teddy bears do).
Have you decided which of the Charlie bears you want to adopt? I hear that some of them have already sold out completely.
Anyway here are a few photos of my Charlie Bears : Slothy Joe (the one in the tree), Purdy (the little one admiring the flowers) and Titus (resting like a king). I hope you like them :
Hugs,

Hi everyone,
As a teddy bear lover (and not an artist), I still get a very warm feeling inside me, when I see one of the bears that I have adopted in a publication.
Although I have absolutely no artistic merit in it, it does give me great satisfaction when I see the work of a bear artist whose teddy bears I greatly admire and have already adopted in print (or on the web).
Therefore I was very pleased when I found this German e-paper called "Kuscheltier News" (Kuscheltier could be translated as cuddly animal).
In it there is a feature of two well known artists (well known to me, that is) and members of TT :
KAY HOLROYD (Katiecountrybears) : a three page spread ! -- CATHERINE YOUNG (Bumpkin Bears) : extracts from her blog (with a photo of my two darlings Lewis & Bailey)
The text is in German only, but it has a lot of teddy photos as well.
If anybody is interested in seeing more, this is their website : http://www.kuscheltiernews.info/
Hugs to all of you
Peter
What an adorable couple, Tessa !
and such a "cool" car; who wouldn't take his girlfriend out for a drive.
Hugs,
Peter
Many Congratulations, Claire !
I'm really looking forward to seeing the bear you entered.
Don't keep us waiting too long...
Hugs,
Peter
What a terrible thing to happen to your brother, Randy. Thank heavens he is OK, but the emotional loss must be severe.
So my whole hug is sending out all their BEAR POWER to you and your brother Ryan !
Hugs,
Peter
Awww, Terrie, there are all adorable, but "Santa Panda" is just to die for !
Hugs,

Here are the four lovely cards I have received so far.
Thank you Lisa, Jeannette, Becky & Paul (love those stamps).
This is such a fun idea !
Of course some teddies wanted to be in the picture as well : in the background is "James" by Janice McLeod and on the right is "Cluck" by Kay Holroyd.
Hugs,
Peter
She is really adorable, Roxanne I love her sweet innocent expression .
Hugs,
Peter
Congratulations to your husband and you Brenda !
When the time comes (it will be here sooner than you think), please show us some pictures of him :photo: .
I guess there will be a sort of policy against carrying a teddy bear with him and letting the teddy holding the torch ??
Hugs,
Peter
I was thinking "Don't let the cat out of the bag !"
Although "there isn't enough room in that bag to swing a cat !"
And "I wouldn't buy a cat in a bag !"
Silly, I know, but as the wise Groucho Marx once said : "
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Hugs
Peter
I got my card from John as well this week. It is really lovely. Thank you John !

Hi everyone,
From a very reliable source (a TT teddy bear artist), I got the following question about participating in a survey about teddy bear collecting :
Hi, my name is Cherry, I am currently a 4th year senior attending the
University of California, Berkeley. I am wondering if you can spare some
of your time to help me out by filling out a short questionnaire/survey
for my research paper for my commodities class. My research paper
basically wants to answer the question, Why do people collect things? But
more specifically teddy bears. I understand if you don't want to, but it
would be great if you can.
In full disclosure, if you decide to, the information gathered will be
completely confidential (i.e. I won't reveal your name(s) in my research
paper). Also, you have the right to not answer any question that you feel
is too personal.
Also, in full disclosure, I found you through various articles of TEDDY
BEAR AND FRIENDS.
****************************************************************************
1. Name
2. What is your current (or most recent) occupation?
3. What was the first teddy bear that you collected? How old were you?
4. Why did you get into teddy bear collecting? What is it that drove you
to collect?
5. In what price range have you ever paid for a teddy bear? (Lowest and
Highest)
6. What brands do you collect? Type/category?
7. Currently, how many bears are in your collection?
8. How much time do you spend collecting?
9. Are you also a bear artist?
10. What characteristics do you associate with teddy bears?
11. Of the teddy bears you own, which is your favorite, why and how did
you come to own it?
12. If you were able to acquire any teddy bear in the world (if money
wasn't an issue), which teddy bear would you want to acquire? Why?
****************************************************************************
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule and I am sorry for the
inconvenience. Also, if you could help me out by asking other collectors
you know that would be able to help me out, that would be great. Thanks
again.

I believe it's completely legitimate and so I filled out the questionnaire and asked Cherry to send me a copy of her paper when it is finished.
Perhaps some of you would like to send your answers to Cherry ? cluu25@calmail.berkeley.edu

That is such an amazing and beautiful work of art  .
I would love to have one on my wall.
Can you tell us something about who made it, Ellen ??
Hugs,
Peter
Lovely bears, Paula! I especially like Robin Red .
I'm glad they all found new homes so quickly.
The presentation on your website is so beautiful : love the falling snowflakes! Much nicer than the falling raindrops (many of them) we are getting here.
Hugs,

What a beautiful couple, Joanne, I adore the expression on Yuma's face : so sweet.
The detailed foot and paw pads are wonderful as well.
I'm sure they would look great under my Christmas tree, ho ho ho .
I wonder how many hours/days/weeks you spent creating this wonderful set.
Hugs,
Peter
Hi Kay,
You are right : the tipped mohair works wonderfully well for Chuck and Chicki-Dee : they are both adorable.
I wonder where I can get some eggs that hatch lovely teddy bears ??
Have a great week !
