If you have been following Lily the Bear and her beautiful new cub, you will have heard of the wonderful Dr. Lynn Rogers and his wildlife research.

I think this man and his family really do have the best jobs in the world!

Please, sit down for ten minutes, relax, and watch this beautiful little 10 minute "film" of gorgeous photos, turn the volume right up, and perhaps get your tissues at the ready.  It's beautiful.

Dr. Lynn Rogers and his magnificent team have given us some wonderful insights into the bear world through their tireless work with the bears.  They are worth their weight in gold, and of course so are the bears.

Aawww, Maria,  isn't that just absolutely beautiful!  I pop in to see Lily several times a day hoping to catch a glimpse of something exciting happening.

This particular little part of the video is gorgeous, and I adore the little noises that Lily makes in reply to the cub's screams.  So very sweet and it always
puts a massive grin across my face.  Even just listening while I sew seems to have a soooooooothing effect on me!!  Ha!  Better than rotten old TV!

Wow!  I just HAD to log in to register my thoughts on your bear! 

He is absolutely stunning!  In fact I think he is the most realistic mohair bear I have seen.  His expression is amazing and one look at those eyes and super little face and I was captivated!!!         He really is adorable.

If he were mine, I think I would remove the clowns outfit so that I could see the whole of his wonderful body.
You're one very clever lady.

Phew, hasn't it been exhausting - but totally beautiful too.
My nose has been pressed up to the monitor virtually all day, it was so tense, exciting and very emotional.  I was
in floods of tears after that very first squeal from the new cub.  Just like a baby!

She looks very peaceful at the moment, bless.  I am so pleased to think that she now has some company in that small
den of hers - I did feel very sorry for her before. :hug:  :hug:

The whole experience has been absolutely fantastic, I wouldn't have missed it for the world.  I haven't done much today, but who cares!
I hope they intend to keep the webcam going for some while yet, things are going to be even more beautiful soon.

Yes, it was such a pity.

But the best thing to do is actually log off.  That is what they are  asking people to do, as there was such an overload to the system when Lily was unfortunately mentioned on ABC, everyone went mad and the sudden surge sent everything crashing.

Apparently even the researchers can't get their live feed, so we need to completely log off to help them "recover" the situation.

As long as Lily is doing alright, that is all that matters.  If the researchers can get their system up and working again, plus the feed, we will still hopefully be able to witness Lily giving birth.  It might not be in "real time", but does that really matter at the end of the day?   Just witnessing this sort of event at any time is wonderful no matter when it happened.

Aaarrrghhh!  I'm still sitting here (2 hours since my last post) with the intention of staying up all night to see Lily's cubs being born but the whole system has just crashed!!!

No-one can see the lovely Lily at the moment so there are lots of really upset people on Facebook who have been eagerly awaiting this wonderful day.  Think the fact it has just been broadcast on the news and sent loads more people to the site has caused it to crash.  Maybe I will get sleep tonight after all.

But she is such a wonderful bear, I have watched her a lot this past week, she's spell binding.  I just hope and pray that our dear Lily has a trouble free labour and becomes a proud mum to some gorgeous little cubs.

Yes, I'm hooked too.  I felt quite tense earlier this evening when it seemed things were starting to happen, the poor love was so very restless
and I found myself getting all tearful!     Her head was towards the camera and it just looked as though she didn't know what to do with herself
at one stage.  There were over 8,000 other viewers too at that stage, but Lily had the last laugh by going back to sleep!  Whether it's just a lull in proceedings, no-one will know for sure, only Lily!

Bless her little cotton socks.      

The question is, will I get any sleep tonight!!!

Ah, bless her little cotton socks.      This is SO much better than TV!  I have just been watching some wonderful images of her directly facing the webcam, and I have to agree that it seems she certainly knows we are all watching her!  I wonder if the quiet whirling of the camera is distracting for her as she seems to "eye it up" every now and then!  It's nice to see her now finally looking as though she can relax and take a snooze even though she fidgets a lot.  I loved a special little moment when she seemed to put her paws over her eyes and push her lovely muzzle down into the fur between her paws to snuggle down .....  Beautiful.

Hello Cheryl,

I think your website looks lovely personally!  I think if you were to really "study" anyones website, there would always be something that you think could be "done better" etc, but I think sometimes things can be over worked.  When I first went onto your site, I found myself thinking how lovely it was actually, and I love your bears.

With regard to your problem relating to the transparent backgrounds to your pictures, try saving them in .png  format in Photoshop (which is what I use for transparent backgrounds) and that may solve the problem.  I know I have problems sometimes if I have merged layers for example, but keep things to .png and you should be okay.  I am sure someone here can help if I am completely wrong for your case.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
