Thanks Ladies -it will be quite a while yet before I can get any more finished as the kiln has to be filled before i can fire it again -got lots of bear faces to make.

I love making dolls and teddies and have combined this love to make these two rabbits for the spring!! I have used  Kestner's googly reproduction heads which I have fired and painted in my kiln and I have also made them hand made porcelain eyes. There bodies are in mohair with cotton inside ears and lined paws. I have also aged them.
I have been inspired to make some more so am firing my kiln with a couple more which I will make in different colours!

This is Elly Font who is looking for a new mum -can you give her a home?
Elly is made from a felted mohair -colour is difficult to describe -it has a peachy tint to it.
I have given her black glass eyes with under felt and shading .Her ears and lined paws are in a pretty cotton that match her dress. Elly has a tail with a silk bow tied to it as does her trunk and her ears.

Lovely old looking creation -              

I have acquired an old 1940 era doll head that is in a minty condition -looks like it left the factory without being made up into a doll. I have made this one up to resemble an old doll rabbit that a childhood friend had . Great fun!

Great minds must think alike !!! -I have made these sort of bear/doll/rabbits -sold one last week on bearpile and am in the middle of making a clown rabbit with an old baby pot head. Yours is so sweet!!
