Pen Pen(Gotobed Bears) helped me with my banner - Photoshop can be used but I'm not as proficient as she is with it.
There are a number of clever Ladies on here who do them - I'm sure they'll jump in to your rescue
A tiny treasure with a very big personality.........
Congratulations - he's ACE
Can I just thank everyone for all the kind messages both here and private emails. They are a bit overwhelming. You are a kind lot.......................
Have a Happy Holiday everyone.
I've had to have my dog put to sleep today - I'm sorry - I won't be around for a while.
Happy Christmas etc.
Thank you so much for sharing your skill.
We've had the most horrendous gales here for the last couple of days - storm damage to property and so on - but - I don't know if I'm being stupid - all the birds are singing and I've seen a few with nesting material???????????? Plants are flowering out of time and shrubs are in bud. Global Warming in action!
Oh My - I am so slow - it takes me at least a month if not longer.
I don't know how you Ladies can work on multiple bears at the same time - I can just envisage the chaos that would cause me if I tried - wrong bits attached and so on.
I like to take my time ( I'm striving to make the technically perfect bear) - and its personality sort of develops as I work. Bet that sounds daft.........
Everything is crossed here too.
Any chance you're on a Mac?? Lucky us, we open the pic and the Word doc and just drag 'n drop the photo where we want it!!!
Sorry - no - (why do I always seem to have the wrong thing).
I've managed the image into Word (Thanks Tammy)
Finding the dratted image is still hit or miss.
No luck with putting images into layers as yet. I understand the layering principles but for some reason I can't manipulate the images into those layers.
Perhaps some kind soul out there will take pity on us and do a visual thread on 'how to in photoshop' like your workshop Jodi that you did a little while ago.
Shelli's design challenge was just that - a challenge............. and in my case I failed it miserably.
I've Googled till I'm blue in the face but I still can't put images in layers.
Oh well -
Good Gracious - how on earth did I miss this?
Are they proper cards or digital ones? If the latter would we have some pics please :photo: I'd like to see how creative everyone is...........

How exiting is that................
Look forward to seeing the article when I get my copy.
Ya see - its easy when you know how.
Thank You Tammy for your time and trouble - greatly appreciated.
Could someone tell me (as simply as possible) how to insert a photoshop image into a Word document.
Secondly - (I'm a glutton for punishment I know)
How do you locate saved photoshop images without going through the Windows search facility. I know they are there somewhere - I just can't always find them. (I have Photoshop 4)
Thank You
I'm terribly sorry - I missed all this. I do apologise and wish Renae all the best.
Don't let the ******* and soh's grind ya down.
That's so nice. I think it's from the story the velveteen rabbit. Only in that story the wise old character is the "skin horse".
Thanks for sharing!
I don't know that story - Have I had a deprived childhood?
I just remember it from somewhere and I thought the time of year suited.
BEING REAL
This is the story of two toys. A new toy - a Rabbit, and an old, worn out toy - a Teddy Bear.
"What is real?" asked the Rabbit one day when they were lying side by side.
"Does it mean having things buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?"
"Real isn't how you are made" said the Teddy Bear "Its a thing that happens to you when a child loves you for a long, long time. Not just to play with, but really loves. Then you become real".
"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.
"Sometimes" said the Teddy Bear for he was always truthful.
"But when you are real you don't mind being hurt".
"Does it happen all at once - like being wound up?" asked the Rabbit "or bit by bit?".
"It doesn't happen all at once" said the Teddy Bear.
"You BECOME. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't often happen to people who break easily or have sharp edges, or have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out, You get loose in the joints and become very shabby. But these things don't matter at all. For once you are real you can't be ugly except to people who don't understand.
Once you are real, you can't become unreal again.
It lasts for always".

I'm so anonymous - even Google doesn't know who I am.
This is possibly why I'm underwhelmed with sales.

Hi Sophie - the first twenty years are the worst - keep at it.
Remember you are your own person - you are not someone's replacement. Things will be done your way.
Start tough and then you can 'lighten up'. Trying to do it the other way round spells disaster.
So many of my colleagues fell by the wayside because they tried to be their students' pal not their teacher. The students did not respect them for it.
Mastering your subject will give your students confidence - and tell them if you don't know - they can spot a fake at ten miles. Other than that - be consistent................
Good Luck................
