Good Luck Everyone

happy bear making
going with the cross between crafts ...if i made bears that incorporated scrapbooking and or beading...would i then be able to infiltrate the scrapbooking magazines get featured and zillions of people would see the bears and maybe we could entice a few scrapbookers or bead artists into the bear trade....more and more people would get interested from there, and it would only be a matter of time before theres mohair in the supermarkets where it belongs
ahh sigh......i can dream, i can dream
oppse you wrote more when i was writing so my rant is a little off topic
the main reason i dont subscribe to magazines is money....so i just buy them when i can afford them and when i can find them
its not only magazines about scrapbooking...its supplies here in Tassie...i was soo mad the other day when i couldnt find anything i wanted in all the craft stores we have....just rows apon rows af scrapbooking stuff......i dont even know anyone who does scrapbooking and everywhere i go i keep an eye out for bear magazines....but like you said - beading and such...only spotlight has the bear ones down here as far as i know....and even then their a bit sparse...i think stores just get in what will sell fast and for lots of profit....stickers and beads and stuff dont cost them much and they can mark them up a fair bit...but mohair and alot of other teddy bear stuff is quite pricy to begin with and they cant mark it up too much or it wouldnt sell....well thats my opinion anyway.....but boy does it make me cross
but on the other side of the fence.......if i was a scrapbooker or beader...id be in heaven
lol...my daughter has a red riding hood and wolf and grandma one....dont know if its a home made one or not tho...it was given to her by her nan , who found it at a garage sale(where all good toys come from ) you can only buy crap nowdays from shops
and i love yours charlotte i got a good giggle imagining them standing on their heads under that dress
great idea for two great ladys.....congrats
heres a pic of some clouds over the mountains ...taken from my sewing room
hmmm the weather here ...it's cold and its supposed to be spring but we have had frosts the last few mornings, its a good thing i havnt bothered with the veggie garden this year or i would of lost some of the plants
the problem for me is that i hate hot weather as much as i do cold weather so i just cant win
ohhh thanks...thats much easier on my slow brain...it makes sense now...thank you thank you thank you  you have all been a huge help and it really is appreciated
thanks ruth  i'll give it a shot next time and see if i can make it work
hi all, thanks so much for the ideas
Uff, hope this makes sense as both my English and ability for explaining something are quite poor.

you speak better english than i do, and i dont know any other language
michelle.....if you dont use knots, whats keeping the bears seams shut?? im a tad confused(sadly, it doesn't take much ) the stuffing holes have a bit of force behind them, the stuffings always trying to come out...id be worried about it popping open again....but then again....if it works it means no more annoying knots
i'll have a think about it and see if i can figure it out
thanks again for all your helps,
Natasha
zip lock bags and into a box here too must be the way to go
on minis, so that there nice and neat with no knots showing....i've got a few patterns organised and am hopeing to sell some bears soon but im having trouble with how visable the stuffing holes are after ive sewn them up...im doing ladder stitch, i think correctly - and ive heard people talking about burying the knot - how?? what i do atm is ladder stitch just past where the opening starts then sew from one side to the other(little stitch) and then back through the loop of cotton and pull tight....i do that a few times in the same place roughly, but i can feel and see the knots, i think that its this last thing thats stopping my bears from looking/being good enough for sale...plus its just plain bugging me
so i guess my question is...whats the correct way to finish off closing seams and how do i bury a knot?
thank you muchly
Natasha
ps. can you tell im not very good at explaining what im on about
yep....tis happy gilmore your turn
ok heres mine...sorry its not more imaginative but im tired

gday...i too went reborn crazy there for a while, but sadly cant afford to develope that particular hobby atm...ive allready got the bears and now sculpting...ive been working on my first reborn on and off for a few months and im just waiting for an order of 45 felting needles to arrive to root her hair(as i broke the only 2 i had within the first 5 minutes ) im thinking 45 ought to do it..
i just love holding her tho and i have even on occasion found myself baby talking while doing so

i must admit that i wasnt sure if this was still on ...so i havnt made my bear yet - time to get cracking
drat.....i just looked at the link you posted and you have to sign up to mission fish - which requires a credit card number and so far no banks been crazy enough to give me one
hmmm...thinking caps on
he is just so cute ME?...jealous of those adorable tootsies and perfect nose?...who said that?
thanks....the clay ears are just somthing im experementing with at the moment as i think there could be a lot more shaping possabilitys than just fabric, especially with the minature bears....and with the teeny bears i can have curved ears because the bulk of the two peices of fabric makes that really hard (well fo me anyhow other people might manage just fine) its really just somthing im trying out....
