OK, I finally finished a bear today.  Got down to the business of airbrushing........  Started everything up and tested my Badger airbrush in my kitchen sink.  It EXPLODED everywhere!  Tiny paint splatters all over the place.  Got that mess cleaned up.  Filled the paint reservoir with water.  Tried to figure out the problem.  Air flow not an issue.  Perhaps paint flow is the issue.  I took the airbrush apart.  Now I am looking online at a diagram to reassemble it.  The black plastic back piece won't tighten all the way now.  I probably have it assembled wrong and even if I DO figure out the assembly, will that fix my original problem?  What's the deal?  Any ideas or hints very appreciated!  Now I'm off to put my 5 yr old in time-out!

Jane,
Thank you so much for posting these photos!  I am in awe of all the beautiful creations!!!  I have never been to a show the size of Hugglets.  It would be like a visit to Heaven!!!  After seeing all the gorgeous bears I think I will be embarrassed to ever post a photo of my own bears again!

ConnieB

Ellen and Jenny,
Your tables look really nice with all those gorgeous bears!  Wonderful set-ups!

ConnieB

Gemma,
You did a great job!  I really like the way you did the paw pads.  And it always takes me forever to airbrush because I too am nervous and like to go very slowly!

ConnieB

wow!  He is awesome!!  Love the hat too!!!

ConnieB

Fabulous color!  And the face is really great too!  Love this one!  Geez, there are so many great bears going to Hugglets!  Too bad we can't all attend!!!

ConnieB

Jane,
Your orangutans are really superb!  They look like a boatload of work too!

ConnieB

Paula, I love them all, but Raffles is just breathtaking!  I really love the combination of colors.  And the silk collar is the perfect finishing touch.  She (he) will be gone instantly!

ConnieB

Wonderful work, Yvonne!  I love how you have subtle color changes on some of the muzzles!  What a nice effect!  Please post full photos after Hugglets for those of us unable to attend and see these gorgeous bears!

ConnieB

Wow, Tami!  You did an absolutely superb job!  This set will be hard for you to send away, I am sure!  You did a great job on the accessories also!  Bravo!!!

ConnieB

Perfect and wonderful, Jenny.  I wish I could figure out trimming like you have so masterfully!

Well, I am very confused on Ebay this morning.  They changed the search for artist teddy bears so I don't know what to click on to get the usual search results.  Now when I search for artist teddy bears, it only shows the bears that have the word "artist" in the title.  They are always changing things over there and not necessarily for the better!!!

ConnieB

I can't believe this is your first attempt at felting.  Amazing job!

ConnieB

Love them all, but "V" has stolen my heart!  Cutie!!!

ConnieB

Tami, love the bear!  Alpaca, right?  Way too dense for me to work with.  And the face sculpt is dead on!  Amazing work.  Can't wait to see it all completed.  I seem to have lost my creative urge lately.  Went into my room yesterday and just sat and stared.  And it was my first time in there for weeks!  I guess its the winter blahs setting in..............  But you are really doing some amazing work.  Just wonderful!!!!

ConnieB

Wow!  Amazing detail on such a small fellow!  Nice work!!!

ConnieB

He is really majestic and awesome, Judi.  I hope you keep him forever!  He is an absolute work of art!!!!

ConnieB

Here's my first, Denise!  I keep him around for kicks and giggles!

Dilu,
My nutcracker is about 30 inches tall.  Thank you for your kind comments.  I am so pleased that you like him!

ConnieB

I already posted this guy in the past, but I used mohair for his hair.  He isn't a new creation.  Hope its OK that I post him again!!  Dilu, your doll is great!  What a beautiful face!!!

Sue Ann,
I agree with everyone else.  Camo is really wonderful!  And he looks so soft!  Well worth the extra time it took you to create this fabulous bear!

ConnieB

Wow!  Shelly, great ornament!  Is this your first needle felting project?  Bobbie Ripperger was very kind to send some felting supplies to me over the holidays and I plan to test them out very soon.  I have seen some really wonderful felted teddies on this site!

ConnieB

OK, I'll play.  Of course the worst thing that happened to me in 2007 and in my whole life actually was the sudden death of my ex-husband.  The best thing was having an awesomely supportive husband hanging around!  ( Hope my post is not a major downer for everyone........ )
