Oh I LOVE this thread every year!!!!  I've been getting a few things out here and there very slowly... but we are going to go pick out our tree tomarrow.... I'm praying for another skinny tree this year!   It can even be tall... just not the giganic monstrosity of two Christmasses ago.  I am still finding pine needles from THAT one!   bear_ermm   I'll post pics when it's all done up!

Here's my blog post about trees for those who weren't around two Christmasses ago...

Computer probs are not completely gone...  my computer is just sort of slowly dying away.  The fan keeps coming on like every 10 minutes, and I KNOW it's not supposed do that.  Trying some save up the money for a new one is no easy feat either!

Glad to be back though!

Well, after a few bouts of computer problems, and a lost password   I've finally found my way back to Teddy Talk!!!!  Hi everybody!     I missed you!  bear_flower

My first thought was jointing the legs slightly further back as has already been suggested.  Possibly you could consider an armature in the legs as well... I use an armature "bone" that allows me to slightly bend at the ankle, etc... to get into all the little interesting poses that my bears like to be in.   bear_tongue

Tina.... I buy 4x4 boxes here in the USA from a cake decorating supply shop.  You might also find them at shops that print wedding invitations and the like.  The ones I use are actually designed to be put out at weddings so that guests can take a piece of cake home if they like.  They are nice and sturdy, and a plain pure white.

Alexis.... I TOTALLY hear you on that one!  I have three children and not enough hours in the day.  I've frequently thought, I could shave my legs, or wash my hair, or play with some fabric.... The fabric often wins... especially if it's winter and I can hide my legs!

Congrats on the impending arrival!   bear_tongue

BrynnAdStudio.jpgThoughts2.jpgRose1web.jpgDangerous topic for me!   bear_wub   I love to crochet, play with polymer clay, do ribbon work... I have a HUGE list of things I'd love to try if I ever find the time though!

You know, I do believe that eBay does or did have something just like what Sandra is talking about.  You would run the auction, but you'd have to be pre-approved by the Seller in order to bid.  The Seller could approve 2 or 200 individually sellected bidders... or even just one.  When I first started selling hand sculpted dolls, I used to "auction" my commissions that way... with just the 1 pre-aproved bidder. I did it that way for several reasons...

***I was "new" and needed to build up my eBay feedback

***I felt like both the buyer and I were a bit more protected since we each had the possibility of good/bad feedback hanging over us.

*** The transaction, price paid, and photographs showed up in my feedback for however many days... which is a bit like advertising....

SpringBulbs.jpgGORGEOUS flowers Sue Ann!  thanks for sharing.  We are still kinda just "getting there" in N.E. Ohio.  We've finally had a few days of 60+ temperatures... here's what it was looking like last week...

Completely insane!  I've heard of that same "issue" before.  I bought a HUGE box of tiny baggies from our party supply/stationary store a couple of years ago, and the lady flat out asked me... "So, what do you DO with these?"  I told her that I was a bear maker and used them for a number of things- pattern storage, keeping charms and beads, etc.... She said that the police had asked her to report (off the record) any "suspicious" / bulk sales of itty bitty baggies!   NUTS!!!!   bear_wacko

Hi there!  Not sure what kind of quantities you are thinking about, but one of out lovely member... Teds from Threads has some great yarn products that work up looking like a sewn bear rather than showing the crochet stitches... I think it's the "Beary Plush Thread" that really gives a "no stitches" effect.  If you'd like to take a peek...
