Isn't her work just amazing, I can't even begin to wonder how many hows this bear took.

I would still give it some time, it hasn't been that long actually. I would give at least a month for her to receive the bear (just based on some of the other stories I"m hearing). I'm sure your collector would not mind waiting just to see if it does show up. Sometimes they do go astray and then show up.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Awwww now how sweet is Thaddeus perfect :photo: of him heehee..
Great Invitation Jodi, our book stores here don't do anything like that, wish they did that's a great little keepsake.

Hmmmm I'm not sure if you can or not, I would think it could be done professionally but I don't think I would attempt it myself. There is a specail process for dying real fur, maybe you could try doing a swap with someone who might have some lighter fur coats that is looking for darker fur coats.

I know when I was on earlier, the set up on ebay.com looked different. For new listings there was only something like 49 artist bears for the last 24 hours !! I thought that was strange as well. I hope they go bankrupt actually , they have just become far to greedy if you ask me.

Welcome back Marion, so glad you had a great time and it certainly looks like your bear had lots of fun as well.
I'd have a hard time not to buy everything I saw, Steve and I are such huge shoppers that we would be a dangerous couple to shop with .
big hugs
Hmmmm I think I hear Daphne coming to chime in on this one    . I have used both and I do like Schulte but not all of it. I use Hembold as well as Norton and I like both of them just as much, I make small bears and have never had to use fray check on them. Now remember some mohairs just naturally have a very loose backing, I have had problems with mohair fraying even on big bears.
I also agree, buy some white or cream and try dying it yourself, we do that all the time because we love the brighter wilder colours and you just can't find that colour selection in mohair. It's so much fun doing the dying and it's actually very easy to do.
I think you should try some of the end pieces or smaller cuts, they are a good price and you can get a few mini's out of some of those pieces.

Ohhhh Gladys I love your bear, your right though blue eyes would be wonderful on him. I just happen to have an official Harry Potter wand in my possession heehee, Steve bought it for me a couple of yrs ago for Christmas.
Karen , I know I don't want Harry to die either I will be very upset if he does. But that said I think he may die but perhaps Snape may be able to bring him back to life. Remember in the first one movie, Snape comes into the room and states there will be no foolish wand tricks and other stuff but he also mentions that in his potions class you can learn how to put a stopper on Death!! So perhaps he has some kind of potion that will save Harry.
Jodi I love your Harry Potter storytime mouse, absolutly magical

They are all so adorable it would difficult to choose, but because my favourite colour is yellow it would have to be the Bunny, I like Sunnie as a name but I think buttercup would be cute as well. YOu could just picture a bunny nibbling away on some wild buttercups. I also like the cow print one too, it would be a a tough call. I do love the name teddy bakewell (I looooove bakewell tarts mmmmmmmmmmmmm)
great job and big hugs

Oh Joan it was a lot of fun, she was very determined though that my ears should be where she wanted them
, all in all it was still a fun time.

Hmmm.... curious. The jacket says 'working dog.' Did you get ti read what the top of the printing says? Is this a blind helper dog?
Actually Bobbie it's a registered therapy dog. He goes in to nursing homes and hospitals and works with the people, he's a very gentl giant. I'm not sure if it's still on her web site but Oprah had that show on her website. They flew him (Gibson I think his name was) and the owner from CA to Chicago, Gibson ha his own seat on the plane and even got his wings from the Captain. When standing on his hind feet he stood 7'2" tall. He was massive but very very gentle.
I checked checked Oprah.com and I don't think the two dogs are the same dog, maybe in size but the one that was on Oprah is completly different
http://www2.oprah.com/tows/slide/200704 … _202.jhtml
None the less it's still a really big dog

Thanks for the Link Joan, we took a class from Rotraud in England a couple of yrs ago. She really has a lot of knowledge to spread around. Of course we don't make the same type of bears that she does so it was really funny to us, she kept trying to get me to change the ear placement on my bears head as I like them really low and sticking down
. I think I drove her nuts because everytime she would turn her back I was putting the ears back where I wanted them , I can understand if I made realistic looking bears and I kept thinking I need to show her one of my bears and then she would understand where I was coming from   . She is a great instructor and you always learn so much from her. She has done some great books as well that will help you with doing pattern design, at her workshop she had dvd's or cd's available which were fantastic and had step by step instruction and they were in English.

Pheww thanks for explaining that Shelli, you know I had it all in my head but couldn't get it out and on to the screen LOL. Yes the one I have is the debit card but can be used as a Mastercard as well. It's not a normal Mastercard with the revolving credit, sheesh it's so easy but so difficult sometimes to explain it
.

Shane
Hmmmmmm I'm not sure Jeremy, I just sent in the request and they sent me one , I guess there is no harm in trying. WE've had it for a couple of yrs now. Maybe ask someone in live chat on ebay if they know, now remember this Mastercard is not a normal Mastercard. This is like a prepayed credit card, the credit limit is only as much as you have in your paypal account. There is actually no credit given to you by paypal.
big hugs
Shane
The Mastercard is tied directly to your paypal account, when you use the mastercard it takes the money right out of your paypal account. You can only use the mastercard up to the amount you have in your paypal account.
The fee's are different Edie, when you transfer toyour bank account there is an additional fee for doing the transfer as well as the conversion rate . Since I really only use my paypal account for shows and purchasing stuff online I never have to have it converted to Canadian as most sales are in US dollars. I haven't noticed if I use the mastercard to purchase something in Canadian dollars if the exchange rate is lower than having it transferred to my bank account. Plus it also takes so long to get the money transferred to the bank account.
big hugs
Shane
Oh Shelli you make me laugh

Shane
Edie, we never transfer the money into our bank account. We use to do that and then we got the Paypal Mastercard which is wonderful. I can take money out of any ATM machine and it cost me $1.00. I can use it as a normal Mastercard anywhere in the world and there is no fee.
I just got so ticked when I saw that Paypal was charging me an extra .5 cents on every dollar to convert it into Canadian funds . When I checked our banks exchange rate we found out how much more paypal was charging for the conversion. When we called paypal , they said that's what they charge and if we didn't like it then stop using paypal. When you consider how much you have already paid in fee's to paypal and then they nickle and dime you even more on the exchange rate sheesh.

YIPPEEEEEE oh Maria I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now WOW, I'm soo happy for you girl that is the best news. Can't wait to see pics.

Good question Jeremy, I haven't ordered for awhile from Intercal so I'm not 100% sure but if your just ordering a yard I would dare to say it will be $10-$20.00 for shipping. Don't forget the duty and the taxes on top of that as well, sometimes it slides through and I think we have only ever had one shipment come through that wasn't charged the duty.
There's the duty , plus the $5.00 canada post will charge for paperwork, plus the PST and the GST so add another 30% on top of the original cost of the fabric and the shipping. Sometimes it's not a deal when you add everything else on top of it . Some others may be able to give you a better ball park figure on the shipping, as I said I don't order a lot from the US anymore unless they are giving the mohair away   .

They are so much fun Gladys, I agree when your playing them it's like you can almost believe you are there in Hogworts , I love them . I may have to get them on CD so we can listen to them when we are travelling, would certainly help tim go by. Steven's afraid he'll fall asleep at the wheel lol.

Shane
I agree Shelli, I don't usually get to involved with the ebay stuff but I thought this was prety important stuff
