Yes, the after pic looks much better....  The eyes just blended too much in the first one, and looked kind of 'dead'....  In the second one, he's really perked up!  Musta had his coffee!

OK... had to stop in and tell everyone: I saw pics of my Boney, the 'special black and white kitty', and I LOVE HER!!!!  I can't WAIT to get her and show her off here on TT!!

Awww, how sweet!  My daughter sported socks like that one day that she decided to dress herself.  It was a good reminder to me to clean out their sock drawer and throw away old ones with holes!  I'm likin' his curly Q whiskers/moostash (moustache)... I can't decide if they look like rabbi curly Q's or a foo-man-choo!  Either way, they're awesome!

I'm a 6 according to this.  This is absolutely right on, except one thing... I really don't ever want to be a teacher and don't think I'd make a good one.  Everything else was 'to a tee'!

It said my husband is 8: the big shot.  It was COMPLETELY wrong! lol  My husband's the most soft spoken, afraid to say anything kind of person.  I'm always trying to get him to take charge and not get taken advantage of!! lol

Hi Sabine,

Honestly, I haven't tried the one with the leather backing, but I'll bet it is a little difficult to sew.  The others with the ultrasuede backing aren't too bad to sew; the thing that I liked about it is that I knew that once I put those stitches in place, they weren't going anywhere!  there is absolutely no fraying (being a mini maker, too, I'm bad about sewing too close to the edge) so even if your seam is only 1/2 and inch or less even, it's not going to tear or anything.

I'll bet that if you used a leather needle (I haven't tried it yet) it would sew much easier.  I wonder if sewing this fur is any more difficult than sewing real fur?  Anyone who has experience in this, please do chime in! :)

Thanks, all of you for taking a look.  I have quite a few things to list here, and am trying to get to it day by day.  Can't forget the furry little creations, too!    If anyone has any tips or feedback, please do let me know, as i've never really done this before.  Don't worry about hurting my feelings!!! If anyone has been wondering (which I'm sure you really haven't) where I've been off to lately, I have decided to open an eBay store which, at the present moment has some nice fat quarters of synthetic furs bonded with ultrasuede on the back, but I am hoping to grow over time.  Please do check out what I have for now, if you'd like.  I am hoping to expand over time, and am just kind of getting my feet wet now.  Please do check back in the future, too to see what I've added!

Have you talked to Stephanie at Sassy Bears and fabrics yet?  I am not sure what price she has for yards and whatnot, but I know she's got an awesome selection!  She can also give you pointers on what's dye-able and what isn't....

Hi all...  This is my newest creation, Ganya.  Her name is Hebrew for "Garden of the Lord". She's the first big bear I've done in quite a while! I'm posting her here even though she'll be listed on eBay, but not until next week.  So I thought I'd post her here to get a little feedback on her.  She's my first alpaca bear, made out of Intercal's ALP4/ST.  I've never worked with this fabric before, and I really like it!  I tlove the way it scissor sculpts.
