Wowee!
I received a lovely bear ornament and a dough bowl from Carolyn. I will try and get pictures of it today. My batteries went flat and the girls stole my spares. *sigh*
Thankyou guys.
I actually wrote it last year and posted it elsewheres and on my old blog. I did do a search here and found my other one but not this one. I thought this one was more appropriate for our forum LOL

My favourite gift was a beautiful dollshouse. I loved it so. I still have it and every so often purchase things to revamp it (bits got broken over the years and the young daughters got into and seemed to take great delight in wrecking it. So O put it up. This was even more special as Dad had been laid off but they still managed to get special presents.
Twas the night before Xmas
and safe in her house
A bearmaker was wishing
she could get soused
She had eyes to sew on
and limbs to stitch
and by george she found
those noses a b*tch
She thought to herself
"What am I doing?
I'm really no good at
this bearmaking".
When all of a sudden
there arose such a clatter
she rose from her sewing
to see what's the matter.
She went to the window
and got a surprise.
The sight that she saw
brought tears to her eyes.
For out on the lawn
stood all of her bears
that she had made
over the years.
Santa was with them
and he said gently
"we don't just make toys
we give love freely."
"As we toil away
we pass on the love
we give them a soul
a gift from above".
"The bears go out
and make people smile
and improve the world
not just for a while"
Santa hopped in his sleigh
as did the bears
they all waved goodbye
except for one pair.
They stopped, they turned
and with a shy little smile
said "Thankyou so much
for giving us life"
She stood as she watched
this spectacular sight
as the sleigh with the reindeer
sped into the night.
She went back inside
and picked up the bear
her heart felt lighter,
happy and fair.
She looked at the bear
and she saw it smile
and in that moment
it was all worthwhile.
She heard a soft whisper
out in the night
Merry Xmas to all
and to all a good night.

Ooh I wanted a rocking horse. Just like in a story I had read.
My niece who lived with us ended up getting one and for the longest time I used to pretend he was mine although I was never allowed to get on.

Very cool,
My apron is green, may have to add something to it!

I am alternating between laughing and "awwwing"
HOw cute.
Oh Clare I am so excited for you! Can't wait.
Everything is so lovely!
I remember it took 4 months for a parcel to get to me! When it did it was all taped up from where they had ripped it open. Don't despair.
The most common way of adding a different colour muzzle is slicing the muzzle off the pattern adding a seam allowance and cutting the material from a different colour.
People can also shade/paint the muzzle depending on the fur colour and others needle felt a muzzle on. Hope this elps!
YOu sure know how to make a gal smile.
Well that didn't take as log as I thought

They have the continental and european (english) styles. Hope it helps
Give me some time.
There is an excellent video online that shows ALL the different styles. It was great.
Now I just have to find it!
On Christmas day we move the crackers to the table, but they are too pretty to leave in the box. It also lets us discard some bulky packaging before the day.
MY father always used to decorate the ceiling we often would wake in the morning to find the decorations up. It was always like walking into a wonderland. I am slowly gathering more decorations over time and will string more around the house.
Ok I am going to show our tree. I always love it because the colour and the ornaments. The girls decorate our tree so there is no Martha Stewart Looks here LOL. Most of the things on the tree are handmade.
I will try and add one of it at night.
I also decorate the ceiling
Oh you got him! Great I was a little worried he would take longer.
I am really glad you like him.
I love meerkats

We may have some of those in 8 weeks.
I read cookbooks...funny right? But I can read a cookbook from cover to cover while noting recipes I like....I find it incredibly relaxing. I just got Jessica Seinfeld's Deceptively Delicious, figured with a new little one in the family it couldn't hurt to hide veggies in food

Does it have some good ideas? I've been looing at it.
I read lots of stuff. Horror, paranormal, mysteries thriller, fantasy, sci-fi, classics... my bookcases look like a library. I also don't mind the occassional spicy romance but it has to be well written. I love to read new things from different genres all the time.
