I am really proud, and Iplan on treating myself to a lovely bear (or two) at the TBOV show this sunday to reward myself..........three woulndn't be too greedy would it??????? 
Jane: I plan to take this year to re-focus my dance shcool and do a bit of marketing work, save some money then go for my BA (HONS) again through the RAD.

Hey everyone!
I just had to share this as I'm busting with excitement!
Over the last two years I have been working on my Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in London England. This was a distance university course that covered just about everything you could imagine to do with Ballet and the teaching to young children and was a lot of hard work.
I just received my results today and.........I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am now a fully registered Teacher with the RAD and I'm really proud of myself.....mostly for making it through alive and with my sanity.........although I suppose that's questionable :crackup: :crackup: :crackup:
I just wanted to share my happy story with my friends here on TT.

What an awful place to be in. I agree with the others that the husband likely is able to access her account, but to be honest if I was worried about someone I loved being ill and taking a bad turn payment would be the last thing on my mind. Of course if I was the woman who had won the bidding I would want my dog in the hospital with me....... Maybe he's thinking they may need that money for perscriptions or other treatments (if so he should most certainly have mentioned this). It's not a good situation for you and the 2 weeks followed by another 2 weeks does seem a bit odd, you just can't know for sure. The only thing that I could think of is that you say that you have another woman waiting for you to make another one, if at the end of the most recent agreed time with the original bidder you do not recieve payment let them know that you will be selling the original to the second highest bidder and make the second one for the woman in the hospital when she is ready for the same price the auction closed for. Then you don't have to make a second dog if it is not needed, because I'm sure it takes you quite a lot of time and energy to create your beautiful works of art.
I don't envy your position here Krista, it's hard when you want to be understanding and show that you care that they are going through a difficult time but you're right when you say that the bank that hlds your mortgage would not likely be so kind.

It's so lovely when we have un-expected visitors like this isn't it? We get bunnies sometimes where we are in the country but unfortunately it's mostly skunks, not the kind of visitors you want while you're eating dinner really.

I had just done a 4 day art tour over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and while I didn't make enought to cover the cost of doing the show, I did promote heavily the up and comming TeddyBears on Vacation show on Nov. 18th in Toronto. I distributed almost all of my promo material and I even showed off a few issues of TB&F and handed out subcription info for at least 4 or 5 people. I may have even encouraged a few people who have been thinking about making bears to give it a try! Wheather they do or not, we'll find out but it was nice to see more people interested this year than last! Now if only I had your amaing information about teddy art............

Hmmmmmmm I hadn't thought of that, or course the project would make a difference. to be honest I'm looking to be able to felt into a muslin or cotton form of the peice at the moment.....( is that cheating?)

Hi there, I'm fairly new (and addicted) to needle felting, I've been making bears for years and now that I'm hooked on felting I have a hundred ideas floating around in my head. I'm looking for a good source for wool, specifically white, it seems very easy to find colours but white is proving to be rather elusive. I thank you for your help in advance.

There is a store in my city that is just a magazine and smoke shop........they used to be the store you could find ANY magazine you were looking for, even if you were'nt looking for it! That is how I got involved in bearmaking to begin with! My mom was in the shop saw the magazine (teddybear and friends) with a pattern in it. I had never made a bear before and she thought I'd like to try it out. That was 10 years ago! Now I can't find any bear (or doll) magazines anywhere in the store, it turns out that I was the only one buying them so they didn't want to continue carrying the bear mags. Now I subscribe because that's the only way I'm going to get them. I don't know how we are ever going to encourage new people to join our world of hugs and cuddles if they aren't able to 'stumble' across the magazines on the shelf of a shop somewhere. I can't imagine where I'd be if this was the case 10 years ago.........I'd probably have ended up as an accountant by now :crackup: :crackup: :crackup:
