Oooh yeah. I'm glad my sewing room is downstairs. (walk-out basement set-up) I'd hate to have to be quiet all night long after hubby goes to bed. Just can't vacuum and stuff like that. (oh darn)
Beautiful bears, Marie. My favorite is Mint Chocolate. Great close up of her. I love her eyes.
Louise . . . Wow, Babe is ADORABLE!!!!!
Lucky duck who's getting Babe.
Thank you, Marion and Sophie.
Oooohhhhhh yeaaahhhhhh. OUCH ! ! ! I went right through the little muzzle to my fingers a couple times before I figured I needed to put the bear down on something. Duh  (I haven't received my foam pad in the mail yet.)
It's just about the best thing since sliced bread, I'd say.
I have a book somewhere called "Aussie English". I think I'll dig it out. You crack me up. Cheeky begga?
I clicked on the link in the above post and it took me right to the download of the resizer. Should work for you.
I've been using this powertoy for years. It's so handy. You don't have to import a picture into a photo editing program to resize. Just right click!!!
Wendy, were they inserted into an email from your sister? Try right-clicking on the picture, then "save picture as" then save it where you want.
The easiest way to resize pictures is to download the microsoft picture resizer powertoy. Here's the link:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ … ySetup.exe
After downloading and installing the resizer all you have to do is right click on any pic and choose "resize picture". The "Small" size works great for posting on TT.
Hope this helps.
Sure enough, I won 10 million in the European lottery last week, too. Boy are we lucky or what? I think all they ask for is your full name, bank account number, credit card number, social security number, tax id number, date of birth and mother's maiden name for them to deposit the money into your bank account.
Do you suppose there is anybody gullible enough to fall for it?
Thank you Marion and Wendy, for kind words for my Halloween bear. I was inspired by that adorable black cat fabric I found.
Lights? yep, I think I need some lights above and behind to send the shadows packing. Now, I only have two lights, one on each side.
Hi, this is Ellery all dressed up for Halloween in his custom made black cat hat and ruff. He is 11 inches tall, made of soft curly mohair with ultrasuede paws and feet. His tummy is stuffed lightly and with plastic pellets for maximum hugability. (Pardon my photography, I know I need more lights.)
Thanks Judi, Glad to know you broke needles too, in the beginning. There's hope for me yet? I hope.
Oh Tami, thank you for that!! I sent it to my daughters and a friend who is a farrier (shoes horses). I know they will all love it too.
Paula, how frustrating
And a cold to boot
I feel for ya!! Now my grumpiness: I haven't grumped about this because I feel so sorry for my husband and I feel guilty about complaining . . . but since you have provided a forum . . . my husband's back when out (completely) last Tuesday. Up until yesterday, he was flat on has back in bed. (that's 6 days) Not that I minded taking care of him when he is down, he has done the same for me . . .but . . .he gave me a walkie/talkie and beeped me about every ten minutes. for 6 days (I'm downstairs on the other side of the house) "could you come here. . .could you hand me my newspaper . . . could you put more ice in my water . . . could you grill my peanut butter jelly sandwich . . . would you bring me the mail . . .I think I hear the dog barking . . . you can take my lunch tray now . . . I can't reach the tv remote . . .and every time I was about to leave the room . . . oh, one more thing." Get it? I was about to hit him over the head with his urinal by weeks end. Whew, now he is able to get up and walk around. I'm so happy. He should be out playing golf.
OK, now I feel a little better and I don't have to ever say another word about it. He'll never know.
Thank you Paula
I love Misty Morn . . . and what a great name!
Jane, Glad you are home and hope you are feeling better so you don't have to go back to that place. I was a respiratory therapist for 10 years (my first career) and I know what you go through with asthma as I treated many asthma patients. I've also worked at a hospital that sounds like the one you describe. I don't blame you for complaining or getting straight out of there, icky, P.U. ! ! ! Doesn't sound very sanitary either.
So, stay well ! ! ! !
Oh Sue Ann, that is soooo great!!! I love to see the mama's and babies. I get kind of a maternal feeling that makes me miss my girls.
Look you make me cry... but really, I love your vignette. It looks like it's right off of the Animal planet chanel.
Jodi, Congratulations!!! How exciting and fun. I love your happy little bears and I love that you give the glory to God!!!
Thank you, Shelli. I was pretty happy with the way she turned out. It's a good pattern!
Thank you, Dilu. I had fun making him. Oh my, I just re-read your post above. I didn't realize your Goldie was so small. How cute!
And, of course, thank you Sue Ann!!
Here is Butternut, my version of Sue Ann's Goldie pattern. I wanted to use a small piece of alpaca I had on hand so I reduced the pattern. She is 11 inches tall. I used upholstery velvet for her paw pads and foot pads and made a collar of fall leaves for her. Her nose is perle cotton and waxed.
Wow!! That is wonderful!! I love Bananas Teddy's bow tie too. Good job James.
I forgot all about them. Years ago I bought the first three movies they made on VCR. The one where they go to the moon, the wrong trousers and the one with the penguin. I don't remember the names of the films. I looked for them about a month ago because I wanted to convert them to DVD and I couldn't find them
I guess they were lost in our move.
I haven't seen the last two they released at the movies. I'll have to rent them.
