He's sweet, and a very lovely colour!
Supercute doggies!
Very lovely. A nice colour!
Adorable!
I love it, very well done, and interesting!
Hello,
I have a question. I never used any stuffing other than wool or shredded cotton for my teddies until now. Lately I started looking around for something heavy to give weight to the bears and help them standing. I read in the library the posts about this subject, but unfortunately didn't find any of the suggested steel shot & Co.
A couple of days ago I came upon some bags of mica granules in a store. They are perfect: heavy, fine, round granules. The colour is silver. I tried them and they work very well.
Have any of you ever used them, or heard of them being used?
Thanks!
I can't wait to know who is going to get mine. It's ready.
A question: if the ornament is ready, can we send them right away or should we wait? I'd love to send it soon, I already feel in the Xmas spirit...
He's wonderful, and I really love his clothes!
I once made two right legs...I put the joints in the same side of both limbs, didn't check that they were opposing. I already had the fur cut aroud the pin, so I had to make another leg. Very annoying. Luckily I still had mohair to work on....
I expecially like the way you did the feet, and the noses look wonderful!
the time it took was worth it, she is really beautiful, and what eyelashes...to dye for!
She is very lovely....and lovable!
Ohhh, sweet and lovely!
When I started making bears again after a very long pause, I started browsin the internet to see what was up, to get an inspiration and see what other people got done out there. I also started bookmarking blogs and websites that I most enjoyed. Yours was one of the first, and dearest. You really are soooo good. This bear is really outstanding.
Thanks Pink and Becky,
praise is always welcome!
Thanks Bearlady and Joanne!
Please meet Hugo.
He used to live in the woods, but is now looking for a new home...
I made him a felt leaves ruff to keep him warm and he sometimes has fun making it into a hat. I also made a felt leaves carpet to remind him of his times in the woods!
Wow, he's super sweet and beautiful! And such nice pictures!
A very clever idea to make a 'tree-dress' like that....I would have felt very proud and cool had I had that thought myself!
...and the bear is lovely!
Very expressive eyes, I expecially like the pink one's expression.
They are all lovely,
and my heart goes to the hedgehog!
Handsome lovely face! and I love the muzzle, and his mouth.
Wow, that is a hedgehog I would keep curled beside me in the bed! sweet!
I've had that kind of trouble some time ago also. The poblem was that since I design my own patterns, I don't have a precise idea of where to put legs and arms until the body and limbs are done, and I decide where I like them.
I found out that it helps putting some stuffing in the body part so that it is rougly filled and you have a better idea of the shape the body will have when stuffed.
At this point I pin the arms and legs and turn round the bear to see tat they are in the right position. I do both positions, sitting and standing, but I found that I really should decide what position I want him to be in, because often a sitting position needs the legs to be attached a bit further up (but maybe this is only in my bears.... )
Then I mark where the pins go in, and make the holes.
I often stuff and close legs and arms before putting them on the body. When they are full I check another time to see if the new shape is still good with the positioning.
I don't know if it maes sense to you, or if it's useful.....this is what I do anyways!
Good luck with your next bear!
You could choose a light grey, and use it for the inner ears also....
