My older daughter Hannah decided that this bunny was going to be hers half way through making her. Hannah has called her Maisie.
You can't tell on the photo but the fabric is quite unusual it has a wave through the pile so each peice has two different pile directions (hope that make sense). I loved working with this fabirc, but the paw pads where a different matter all together I have decided NEVER to use light ultra suede again, it was like sewing through leather!!!!
Anyway, Hannah loves her, which makes it all worth while and she has already put in her next order for a panda -I'll do it right after I've finished my polar bear, made Sophies bunny, made a dog for mum .............. mmmmm better get going!!!!

Wow, thats sooooooo clever
How about one of the monkeys - I like the small spider monkey pictures that the lady from Doodlebears took at London Zoo in the General section.
Ahhh that how you do it - find an unusual animal  Might try that trick myself!!!! Between us we could do the whole animal kindgom
I loved all your posts - its the best way for me to learn. One question, how did you attach the claws - did you use wire like glass eyes and use glue or was there another technique? I'm so nosey
WOW amazing
I've been following all your threads for this wee one and am so pleased to finally meet him. You've done such a great job - clever clever lady

Oh my she's just so adorable I'm sure she will lighten up your days - well done Krista, what a wonderful person you are

Oh thank you Sue, your alot more advanced than I am - your already making your own patterns and selling them. I loved Hamish and I put a bid in for Victoria Plum (loved her fur). I'm working on a polar bear at the mo for which I changed the pattern abit (the head needs more work on it) and then my daughter wants me to try and make a replica bear she fell in love with on Ebay - this will be my first pattern from scratch. Just need some more me time to do it all in

Oh thank you Veronica, can you tell me how you did it pleeeeease

I hope this works!
Bronwyn, having problems at the mo with the photo - this is so annoying - I'm sure its easy but I'm such a dumdum with computers and my husband (who laughed at me) can't do it either! Will have to read up on it.
Please let me introduce to you my third creation. As yet I haven't decided a name for him yet and he is waiting for his accessory (a small antique key).
I won a bundle of small peices of mohair from Ebay and found a scrap just large enough for him. I've often read on TT that mohair is so lovely to work with and that is so true.
Hope you like him.

Big THANK YOU ladies
Tami - thanks for Prefurs website - I hadn't heard of them and they have such a great colour range.
Bronwyn, Marion, Michelle & Debbie - Looks like Alpaca is the fav choice. Must look into this fabric - not used it before. Would you use mohair dye to colour it? I've not coloured fabric before either & first time making my own pattern too - this is gonna be fun - might need alittle (ok alot) of help on the way thou
Thanks Krista for the dye tip - I looked at their sythetics but didnt think about their dyes!
I've started on a pattern. My daughter decided she wanted a different coloured muzzle and a white bib chest rather than a panda - does she not realise I'm new to this  I've sliced a section off the muzzle and tip of the gusset and I've sliced some of the tummy off - I think thats how it works? Than add some for seam allowance?
BIG hugs to you ladies

I'm not sure if this is going to work Bronwen, but here goes:
Yay did it! Isn't she lovely
Hi, just wondered if I could get some advice.
My daughter fell in love with a little panda on Ebay, unfortunately it was too much for us to buy, but I have offered (am I mad!!!!) to have a go at making one.
The thing is that this bear was made from real fur and was the most gorgeous turquoise and white combination. The only turquoise fur I can find is fox tails (I must say the thought of this creeps me out), but I can't find anything in this colour in synthetics to give the same soft fluffy look. Has any one used fox tails before or would it be best for me to have a go at dying my white synthetic? If so any advice on dye makes that has turquoise amongst its colours?
Many thanks for any help you can give

Welcome to TT Aexis.
I'm quite new too, in fact I'm still using other peoples patterns
I love the sound of the new style bear your trying to create. (I too have a thing for large noses - but only on bears  )
I'm looking forward to seeing some of your bears soon.
Hugs Ali
Hi Catherine, as I'm still learning I am only using other peoples patterns at the moment so I hope I can help you.
They all have a completed picture of the creation on the front and then list the materials needed. They then go through the instructions step by step. The basic instructions are fine in text, but anything additional e.g. how to embroider the paws, maybe nose template etc is really useful if sketched.
You can always run a pattern through me first (cheeky aren't I)

Wow that looks so peaceful - I could do with alittle bit of that at the moment!

Thanks for sharing these photos. I LOVE seeing photos of America. Last time I was there was 10 (long) years ago - we had our honeymoon in California and 10 years before that I visited family in New York. Must be due for another visit - I would love to show my girls the wonders of America (friendly people and large portions of food!!! - my sort of place ).
