Tami, I can only speak for Australia, and customs told me that they would appreciate a note in with the bear, signed by the artist stating what he is filled with. I don't think it would hurt to stick a little sample of the filling to the note so that they know what you are talking about. Customs people need educating in artist bears, as the customs man who was going to take mine apart never even knew that people hand made "special" bears, that were quite expensive. If the note has your contact details also, they could always contact you if they have any queries, before doing anything nasty to Ted.
I really hope that you get to keep Kaiser Millie, he looks right at home with your other boys. He will be lucky to get such a good Mum. Fingers crossed.
Yes Jennie, I would go with him. He is just gorgeous, and I would want to try him if I saw him in a magazine. Good luck.
I have just put my very first order into Sassy's as well upon all of you girls recommendations. Can't wait for it to arrive, but its got a long way to travel. I must be patient.
Thanks you so much Ginger for the report and wonderful photos - they were great. Glad you were found innocent!!
Yes, I managed it Shantell, thank you for your help.
Thanks Shantell for the information. I am hopeless at the computer, and so I shall give it a go. Cheers.
Hi Girls, this is Truffles, my first ever ebay listing. Lets see how he goes.
Paula, Marmalade is just superb - and wow that fur, it is so beautiful and luxurious. He is a sensational boy and I'm sure will have a new Mum in no time. Gosh you will be burning the midnight oil getting ready for Hugglets.
Doesn't it look just beautiful Sue Ann. I would have had to bring that bear seat home somehow - its terrific.
Thank you for posting these beautiful photos of Alaska Sue Ann. Living on the other side of the world, it is a great education for me. I never knew Alaska was so green.
Claire, that was just brilliant - I loved it.
Just amazing work Judi, thank you so much for sharing the photos - your airbrushing is truly a work of art. Just incredible.
What absolutely glorious bears - just superb. Delighted that you shared them with us. They will certainly find new Mums at Hugglets.
Lots of love and good wishes to your family for lots of happy, healthy days from now on. Little Tristan is just going to love that Teddy as he gets older - and gets bigger than it!!!
Kathy, your Racoons are just wonderful, you have done a fabulous job in recreating them - the fur is just right.
I am so envious of you girls going to a Hugglet show. We are coming to England for the "big trip" in two years time and I am going to try extremely hard to co-ordinate things that we are in the right place at the right time for Hugglets. If my daughter and husband knew I was plotting to visit a teddy bear show on our holiday, they would leave me at home. I'm going to wrangle it somehow!! Have fun girls.
Wow, putting your own dislocated finger back into joint - I am in awe of your courage. I would be a simpering mess. And Paula, my sympathies - toesies really hurt when you knock them, and they are sore for ages. I do think you both deserve lots and lots of sympathy.
Raisin is just a terrific bear, and so wonderful for your first. There will be no stopping you now.
Well you mistake turned into a great success and a wonderful achievement - she is just beautiful. Great work.
Yes, he definitely looks like the "perfect" husband.
That's great that you have such ideas for your first bear. Best of luck with it. I must admit the only ideas that I had for my first bear were 1 head, 2 arms and 2 legs. It took me ages to try something different. Have fun and we would love to see your first baby.
Oh Dilu, to an Aussie girl, that bear looks soooooooo amazing. I'm afraid not knowing much about their habits or temperament, I would be pretty petrified. I suppose it is what you grow up with an what you are educated about. We live here in Oz with a myriad of venomous snakes and spiders, but you have learnt what to do and how to manage it. Big bears - I would have no idea how to react. I must admit, he looks just beautiful though.
Lots of luck for your first listing Wendy. You'll be such an expert soon that you'll be able to list and have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Such a wonderful achievement for both of you, student and teacher. Well done to both of you, and it is such a cute bear.
