What a charming lady. She does look ready for that Christmas party. Did you make her dress? It is beautiful.
This is one cute little pumpkin. Wonderful work!
What a precious little girl! I have heard how wonderful grandchildren are, and I am about to find out for myself. My first grandchild is due in February.
This is my Christmas girl. She is approx. 22" tall and made from a beautiful mohair. She has pretty blue eyes and is cotter pin jointed. She really has that old bear feel. She will be listed on my website.
You're right, he is cute as the dickens. Actually, I think he's even cuter than the dickens.
Absolutely wonderful!
From what you are describing, it sounds like my some of male cats act when they are looking for a fight. For some of them, being neutered does not matter. Some of the males just like a good fight, while others will stay as far away as possible.
Your bear is beautiful! You have done a wonderful job. But we are all unique individuals. What one sees as beautiful, another sees as plain, or maybe doesn't even see it as anything at all. I get the same reaction from my husband when I show him a bear or piece of art I really like. But he gets the same reaction from me when he is drooling over a chain saw. Personally, I would much rather hug a bear than a chain saw.
What a beautiful bear!
Well, he looks like he was worth waiting for. I love the colors. Reminds me of cotton candy.
Very cute! I really like those paws.
I was watching the pictures on the news and thinking, "How beautiful." But it is easy to say that when I'm two thousand miles away from it.
Sue Ann, I'm sure glad to see that your area is getting some rain. You sure went through it this summer.
Welcome back. There is light at the end of every tunnel.
Cute! I too am amazed by the crocheted bears. My experience with crocheting produced a nice chain.
What a sweet little piglet!
Just a bit of info that I have received:
As of August 30, 2009, the CDC says that testing for the swine flu will no longer be done. Since it has been declared an epidemic, it will be assumed to be the swine flu. A friend of mine wanted to have her daughter tested when she became sick, they would not test her for the swine flu. They just did a test that came back positive for influenza, which the doctor said could be one of many things.
One doctor said that in all probability, if you have been sick with flu-like symptoms, you did not have swine flu and you most likely did not even have the flu. You probably had a respirtory virus that has been circulating around. (I had it last week)
Another bit of info from my experience. Like I said, I had this virus last week. It has really been making its rounds. It does have flu-like symptoms and for me was like a super bad cold/sinus infection. I found that vitamin C and D were very helpful in fighting this. A lot of liquid. And the one thing that really helped was oil of oregano. The brand I have is called Oreganol. You just put a couple of drops under your tongue. Within an hour after using it, I could feel it working. It helps open the airways and clear the congestion. The big drawback - it tastes absolutely nasty. But I was over this thing in less than a week while others around me have been battling it for 2 weeks plus. It is a tough one to shake.
Also. there was a CBS report done on the exaggeration of the swine flu numbers. I don't have the link to this report, but you could do a search for it.
What a cutie. She has that "I'm innocent" look.
He's beautiful!
He is beautiful! I see many happy days ahead for both of you.
Hello Louise! It's so nice to hear from you. Do hurry back with your bears, we haved missed you and them.
I do like him. He's adorable.
Minerva is adorable. She must be the good witch, she's just way too cute to be wicked.
Here are two of my animals on wheels, Carmichael the elephant and Soozie the cow. I am planning to make several of these little critters for an art show that I'm doing in December. I realize that the photo leaves a lot to be desired, but I am kind of in a rush right now. Better pics are in the future.
What a precious little baby. I bet she's a lot of fun.
She is absolutely beautiful!
