I would be very interested in learning more about this art. I have a picture of an antique doll, and I would love trying to make something similar.
What a gorgeous pup!
Now that is one cute little lion. Beautiful!
WOW! What beautiful work. You must have spent a lot of time on this guy. Wonderful details.
I guess congratulations are in order here, Sue Ann. But maybe I'm not the one to send those congrats. I am still living in the past. I don't have a blog, and I wouldn't even know how to go about starting one. And like you have stated, who in the world would be interested in what's happening in my life? I guess for now I'll remain in my cave.
He is adorable!
I do like him. He is so chubby and cute.
Very cute!
Thank you all so much. I have ventured off in many directions lately, but the antique style bears are my first love.
This is my antique style panda (no name yet). He is made from hand dyed mohair. He is stuffed almost totally with excelsior and is loosely cotter pin jointed. He has antique shoe button eyes and wears 3 antique buttons on his chest. His paw pads are made from suede.
Thank you so much, Daphne. I have sent my ad your way.
What a beautiful bear! He looks so soft.
I also see the potential in a piece of fabric. A couple of months ago I bought an old, very worn quilt at a shop. They were asking very little for it. When I was paying the cashier, she commented about it and I told her, "I can just see a wonderful, well loved teddy bear in here." It does take a bit more imagination when shopping online for fabric, but I still find myself visualizing creations.
She is beautiful!
He is one cute little guy. I can see that the spoiling has already begun. But isn't that the way it should be?
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you all so very much.
Too cute!
My latest creation is Tagg, the tiger. He is made from mohair that I have hand painted. He has hand painted eyes.
That looks like my Skippy. You never know where you will find him sleeping.
She is so cute!
What a precious little one!
Nerve damage does take much longer to heal than we might think. Everything looks fine on the outside, but those nerves on the inside are still in a healing mode. You can think of that pain as a reminder that you still have an arm. I cringe when I think of how close you came to losing your arm.
Very cute!
Sally is cute, and I'm sure very soft.
