Right I'm off to buy shoe polish, what a fabulous idea, you're just brillo pads!!!!
If it's anything like our post office over here Kim, Good Luck
Ahh Penny, Bennett is gorgeous!!
I have a question, what do you buff with?? You've probably already said, but I can't see
Thanks!
oOOOH yes Heather, that happened to me when I ordered from Australia, I'd already paid £30 postage and it was almost as much again for customs - gutted they call it - gutted!!
I've done both Amanda, but I do tend to thread joint more than cotter pin. I do cotter pin the head, always. I had a mishap when thread jointing a mini not so long ago, I used some bonded thread, and the knots just worked their way loose and untied themselves, so I'm careful with what thread I use.
What thread so others find most effective?
Hi Pam,
I've never used candle wax, only beeswax, or ezywax. If you do a search and enter wax, I'm sure you'll find some info, we had this topic on the go not so long ago!!
Good luck, and welcome to the forum!!
Oh Anne this is awful for you, and very scary, haven't these idiots got anything better to do?
Thanks for sharing.
I'd love to go anywhere rather than dreary England at the moment, and our clocks go back on Sunday making the evenings darker even earlier. I'm trying to decide if it did even get light today........
Do you have to change your clocks where you are, or is it just us??
Do you get moaned at for hogging the PC all the time, well I have people to chat to, things to find out about, and MOST OF ALL I might be missing something!!!!
Never mind the fact I check on the odd occasion at work, and it's one of the first tings I do when I get in......am I obsessed....mmmmmmm I think so!!!!
QUESTION QUEEN RETURNS!!!!!
I know I've asked this question before  but I don't have a facility on my website for a mailing list. I've paid for so much and can't really afford anymore (Can't really afford what I've had done if I'm honest but that's another story)
I just wondered if any of you clever ones know how I can (it's GOT TO BE EASY!!!) set up a FREE mailing list, I get LOADS of people ask me, but I just chuckle and say yeah and it never happens (professional or what!!) I joined some mailing lists lately and I ALWAYS look, what am I missing out on - I could be advertising to LOADS of people...... this could be the answer to my prayers, and pigs may fly
Seriously, I do appreciate any help!
Awww Gina I want to see a picture.........
Hi Kim,
No you know I haven't got an about me page, what with all the hype recently about ebay and our websites, it's made me frightened to death to mention it!!! How do you all tackle that??
I've 'ummed and ahhed' about bearpile for a while, how do you find that works for you??
Kim, you are such a sweetie, I really appreciate your responses xx
See - that Penny always knows - I'm sure she gets all these tips from George Clooney!!!
Will miss you Pipa, you take care of you and yours, and don't forget us when you get back!!
xx
Mmmmm the smell of coffee, yummy........
I once coffee dyed some wide lace for an old looking bear I made, it stank!!!! (Is that a word??) Well you know what I mean, I tried fabric softener, hair conditioner, everything I could think of to get rid of the smell, if only it did smell of lovely coffee, but it didn't!!!
It was only cheap instant, perhaps the filtered would linger longer.......sorry I've been no help, one day I will I PROMISE, but good luck in your coffee smell find. I did have a gift from a friend who honeymooned on the Dominican Republic who brought me back a tiny little sack of coffee beans, they smelt wonderful for ages, maybe....? I also bought some incense burning oil in the scent of coffee once........wouldn't last long but......oh well, that's about all I can come up with, I'd love a bear that smells like fresh baked bread, but that would only make me hungry so no, let's not go there!!! Well they already do chocolate scent don't they...........??
Anything will be better than the stink of my dyed lace!!!!
Since having my website made, and being really excited about it at the time, I hardly go there, apart from to add a few links and the odd ebay bear, reminds me I must do that....
Anyway, if I'm not going there, that means no one else is, so what the point!?? :/
How do you get hits, help please, from Clare the QUESTION QUEEN again!!!!!
Awww Helena!! I'm always pleased that someone likes my bear enough to adopt them, and always think they're going to a good home, that helps! Kim's idea is great about the avatar!
I know how you feel about those bears which you go that extra mile for though!!!
Mmmmm....me too!!! I have stuff in my lounge (hidden in 2 chests), also my understairs cupboard is FULL of my stuff. My dining room is my workshop too, so you guessed it, we hardly ever eat in there as it's chocca!! I also have stuff in a chest of drawers in my bedroom, not to mention BAGS and BAGS of fabric in the loft AND in the garage!!
But they love me really......
Sorry guys, it's my photo, it's so big (had to to get me in the frame!!) If you press back and look at this page again you should see it in full!
Ooooh we are thinking of you all there, stay safe and well. Is GOD trying to tell us something do you think with all this weather lately??
OOOOh Pipa what heaven!!! We visited the Cadbury factory for a day last year, now that WOULD be HEAVEN EVERY DAY!!!!! THAT SMELL..........................Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Excellent!!
Well I've taken the plunge and listed my bear 'Anais' on a featured listing tonight - Eeeeekk!! It'll be an interesting advertising exercise, as Shelli says if you've been out for a while.....which I have 'cos I've been saving the bears for the show, to no avail!!!
I'll try it and let you know how I get on!! It's something that's interested me for a while!
I love the new smilies!!! I'd also love to look like that stunning Kim...... it's not fair...!! Love ya Kim x
