Pipa, you are so right. I don't ever bother buying toys for my cats anymore. I find mohair, some beaded something, tin foil work great, and I don't get mad when they dissapear. LOL

Lynette - i know how you feel about the peck peck peck etc..our neighbours cat has discoverd he can knock on our front door with the knocker.. so he knocks ALL DAY..tap tap tap.. we've had to selotape the knocker down so he can't rattle it anymore !!!

they really are entertaining !!! it's funny because they are just like children. you spend a fortune on toys and it's the box the kids want. same with cats. you buy them expensive bedding and they want a box with paper in .. my cat has a box with gorgeous fluffy hair (i actually bought it to make a bear but it was too stretchy so my cat got it instead) but she still perfers the paper lol
that is wonderful news estelle. i am soo glad your bear was a big hit !! and it sounds like you had a wonderful time !!! 
Aww how cute!! if there is a box a cat will be in it.. i got a delivery the other day of some stuff and the box the stuff came in had loads of brown paper inside..well i took the stuff out the box. put the box to one side and my cat was straight in there.. and now she sleeps in there all the time.. 
Helena i always prepare the xmas dinner on xmas eve. cut all the veggies on the night before xmas day then it's all ready chopped

Well any shopping i did i did onine.. my brother wanted an xbox 360 which is like getting blood from a stone right now so that isn't coming until lord knows when next year so that's out the window !
apart from that i'm calm about xmas 
I got my xmas cards written out at the start of december and i do xmas shopping all year round. i see something someone might like i buy it and keep it for xmas !
