Hee hee, very sneaky indeed. However, if there are any prizes for the winning answer , Shantell guessed correctly first!
Well that just stinks, doesn't it? I must agree with Shantell. I truly admire your positive spirit even when a good moping is in order. You're an absolute delight to have around here.
Penny, your website looks great! I thought your links page was very clever.
Hmmm, I too first thought this beauty was made by Aleta. As my second guess, is it Jane Perala? Well, she is a beautiful bear regardless of who made her and you are definitely lucky to have her in your hug.
He's so cute! Great work, especially for your first mini design!
Hi, Brenda! Glad to see ya back! Oh, gosh, don't feel too bad about not being settled in yet. I've been in my new house since May and I'm still not unpacked! I've just moved it all to the basement so I don't have to look at it. Course, it does get kinda forgotten down there! Oh, well. Better luck to you!
So nice to see you back! I'm glad to hear you pinkie is on the mend. Don't go overdoing it though!
Jodi, you are so kind to share your pattern, not to mention the time you put into the step-by-step directions and photos! The pin is really cute. I'm going to try to get a couple made before Christmas. Thank you so much!
Aww, she's really cute! Well done! And I'm sure Erika will treasure her!
Have fun on your trip, Jane. I hope the weather will cooperate so you can take some piccies!
Really, on a Sunday? Around here they are on Fridays and Saturdays. I always assumed nobody did Sundays because of church. My mom is my yard sale buddy. And our feet have opposite reaction of your husband's!
Good Luck, Jodi. Hope you find lots of goodies.
Thanks for sharing, Daphne, and for all the good ideas. Well, except for the teaching bit. I'm the one who needs a teacher!
Aww, how cute! She's a really pretty dog, Jane. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, sorry guys for mentioning her. I certainly didn't mean to get the subject changed.
So, Daphne, how far away do your fellow club members live? How did you find them? Tell me everything...now!
Hehe, I know! I just love feeding this little cutie. My sis has to take her almost everywhere because she needs fed so often. So I really like when she decides to visit me cause I know I'm gonna get to feed Lola!
Aww, don't feel bad Sarah, I never had a Teddy Ruxpin either. My daughter doesn't have a Tickle Me Elmo, I think they came out before she did! I did get her a Hokey Pokey Elmo though. Wasn't as much fun as I didn't have fight any crazy ladies in Walmart for that one!
If I started a club, I'd probably be the only member! I don't know of anyone that lives close to me. (Except for the crazy picture lady!
) Jared, you're 3 1/2 hours away! Eckk. I just don't know if it would be possible for me to travel that kind of distance every month. If I did, I'd get my but kicked! Daniel's parents live in Chicago and we haven't seen them in a year!
So, how do you get people? Where do you find them?
Wonderful news, Chrissi. I'm so glad to hear he's doing well and will be home with you soon!
Oh, I don't have silly jokes, but I sure do hope you're feeling better soon!
Nope, I don't even know if there are any clubs around me. I bet it would be nice to be part of one though.
I just couldn't resist sharing a few pics with you all. These are of a little kitten, Lola, that was abandoned by its mother and rescued by my sister. My sis has had the kitten for I think 2 1/2 weeks now. Poor little thing was so tiny and helpless, but she is now thriving with my sister's undivided care and attention. I think she must've been a little angel sent to my sis. My sister lost her job quite unexpectedly and was feeling pretty horrible. Then on the same day this little orphan came into her life. So she has been very busy and feeling useful taking care of Lola, instead of feeling lost and hopeless because of her unemployment issue.
I just love this pic with her paws spread out like that. Too cute!
Here's one of my daughter, Natalia, looking on.
I've noticed that if the black onyx eyes are too big, they have the unfortunate propensity to BULGE just a wee bit
My earlier bears with onyx eyes suffered the "bulge syndrome."
You've got the right idea for installing them, putting the thread thru the loop.
As for the ones you paint yourself, I don't think it's necessary to have an eyelid. I suppose that depends on the look you're after. Sometimes I do, and sometimes I don't. Here's a pic of one of my bears. I used handpainted eyes without eyelids.
Big hugs, Chrissi, and best wishes for a quick recovery. Hope he's feeling better soon, and don't you forget to take care of yourself!
Thank you for sharing such special photos with us. The photographer did an outstanding job. The pics are terrific. And your garden is just breathtaking. I can't believe that such a beautiful place exists in a backyard! And your lovely daughter, wow, she looks so much like you! Thanks again for sharing.
Sorry about your eye troubles, Shantell. A good old-fashioned fit always makes ya feel better though!
