What really sucks is that I love ebay.. but when I can't even leave a feedback if I get a scam customer, that is what annoys me the most... and it doesn't help that if I want to feature an average bear.. it looks to cost me almost $40.. that is horrible. I don't want to have to price my bears higher.. but I can't give my work away.  I don't list many bears on ebay as it is.. but I really like to.. it is exciting and gets more people interested.
The Feedback thing is just not good. My B/F sells alot on ebay and just as an example of what can go bad..  B/F does not ship out of North America (has international bidders blocked) .. He got an order from France (person is registered in Canada) the other day.. Person pays with Paypal without contacting him about shipping.. won't respond to emails... My B/f will ship the item to the person even though he has international bidders blocked, he is not unreasonable.. but he needs more money for postage.. the person will not respond to his emails. What is a person to do ... under the new ebay policy this person can leave him negative feedback.. yet he has not done anything wrong.. he stated clearly in the auction where he ships and blocked people from other countries. He wants to refund his money... but would of course rather ship the item. But the buyer is not responding.. so I guess now he can refund his money with paypal.. but who pays the ebay fees? and can the buyer still leave a negative because he paid for the item?

Melanie

Hi Judi, I have put old bears and dolls in a bag with cedar shavings and that helps... it more covers up the smell though that gets rid of it. I would put the bear in a bag with the baking soda for a few days.. but try not to get it on the bear. I don't think spraying febreeze on it would be the best idea... the chemicals might harm the old fabric. Maybe put some frebreeze in a bowl beside the bear in a sealed container .... but I would not get it on the bear directly. Or white vinegar in a bowl, I've heard that can help..
Good luck!

I would say to wait at least 2 more weeks.. I know of parcels that were sent airmail.. only to go ground. But if she chose not to insure it.. well you can tell her she is
out of luck.. but with paypal, they will probably just refund her money. That really sucks  bear_cry  I hope it arrives soon.

Good Grief, I was going to list a new bear this week.. but I think I will wait.. or maybe not at all. I can't imagine Ebay doing all this nonsense. I know they have problems with scammers.. but still,,  this makes it all just a little too much.

That is terrible, if she has photos of them she should make them known.. someone may have stolen them to sell.

Oh my! Those are in your yard?? Oh my goodness. That is amazing! We have a Parrot and I can only imagine the destruction they could do in a flock.. lol. That is so cool though, those birds sell for thousands of dollars here because they are so rare. How very cool to have them flying free and causing mischief. Thanks for sharing!
