Better to try and fail than fail to try.....
Make your words soft and sweet....you never know when you'll have to eat them!!!
The biggest thing I have learned is that the older I get the more important my family becomes.
Helen I was really pleased when I saw you won Dilu's golly as well...I have no doubt she will be well loved and well looked after in your home!!! Dilu makes beautiful golly dolls and I think anyone would be lucky to own one!!!
Hi Wendy
There is one in June (queens birthday weekend) at the gold coast international doll bear and bead show. Run by Kympatti bears and judged in the fur by judges (I think)
There is also the 'Winter Wonderland" in Brisbane the following weekend (17th I think) also in the fur and judged by judges.
Elle if you save the picture on to your computer in a folder...I usually use my pictures or my documents or something like that. Then when you click on it to open it it should open up in a new window and be about the same size etc as when it is in your browser....Hope this helps...
I use freewebs as well Claire!!
I find that for some reason when I am posting photos on the internet I have to make them lighter than I think they need to be because once I save them then view them on my screen they look darker and I usually resize mine to about 600 pixels in height which seems to be about 8x6 inches. this seems to display about right on my screen anyway.
Once you find a size that you like take note of the size you used and use the same size for everything....
Oh my goodness....sending warm thoughts and good vibes for a speedy recovery!!!
Wow Danni you look fabulous...and I'm glad it's had a good effect on your health too!!! Well done!!!!
I agree with Heather, I would email her again politely and suggest that perhaps she hasn't received you first email, restate your case and let her know that unless you get some satisfaction from her you will be forced to cancel her other shows. She really should be trying to keep you happy here. I would be pretty cranky too!!
I do only one head and then make it work from there....but like Amelia the ears...well that's a different story!!!
Your little needlefelted creations are wonderful....Don't let Ebay get you down, it can be so hit and miss sometimes and I think April is a pretty quiet time of the year.
I would start at higher prices....but like Jennifer that is more because I'd hate to let something go so cheap.
keep at it because it takes time to get your name out there!!!
I've been thinking about it too....must have a closer look soon!!!
ps...well done Clare!!!
Good luck Christine, I love your bears and the patterns are great too!! It won't be long before you can't keep up with demand!!
Such a cute bear Jodi....your bears always make me smile!!!
I love listing on Bid 4 Bears. My sales are much the same as what they are on Ebay at the moment, which is a bit hit and miss......but I do feel that I am getting more looks and I love the fact that I don't feel that I get lost in among 100s of listings after the first day....I also really love it that if I have a problem with my listing I don't get one of those computer generated answers that doesn't address the problem at all.
I love what Nancy is trying to do , ebay has gotten so big and they don't listen to their sellers much any more, I HATE the private bidder system and even though their sells have dropped, they continue to keep it. I love not listing my bears there for a while, it's been a nice extra venue to market my work on a new selling site. I think if more artists try it first and keep coming back and new artists keep joining , the collectors will start looking there too.
Jodi I agree with this 100% I just hope that everyone is prepared to give it the time it will take to build up....after all Ebay built up to what it is over years not weeks or even months!!! If everyone keeps listing there even after the campaign finishes then slowly more and more collectors will find it an exciting place to visit!!
Have you thought of emailing Gerry's or Beary Cheap to see what their requirments are? Or getting around a few craft shops in your area?....or are they only available from the net? Perhaps if that's the case you could look at a flyer of somesort to be distributed from a bear shop or something.....I'm a bit vague I think....
Well done Tammy...Fantastic bears!!!!
Sorry Sarah-Jane! My first 2 sentences are written as directly opposite of your good suggestions!
Only just noticed this Bobbie  ...and it's no problem, as you said different things work for different camera's and set ups!!!...I find that over here in Australia the sun at midday is a bit too harsh for my taste but that varies worldwide of course!!!
Wendi I would try and get a bit closer to your wee puddles....I am only about 12 inches away (or closer) when I take my photos.....and I use the macro setting on my camera.....it's only a mid range Canon Powershot and seems to do a good job
Just had a look Jodi....Do you smoke cigars often??
Love the photos...and the smily face at the end!!!
It's looking great Jodi!!! It sure is interesting to see how your bears have changed since 2005!!!
