GOING AWAY AND COLLECTING ALL MY BITS AND BOBS...
Heres my first ever little needle felted bear...
Polar-Pip...
He took me ages to make...
Five DEEPLY pricked fingers
Three broken needles...hahaha
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INSPIRATION....
IM WELL AND TRULY HOOKED... OR SHOULD I SAY PRICKED...
Lanie x
Lanie, your Polar-Pip is a real cutie, sorry to hear about your poor fingers and the broken needles.
Unfortunately you cannot look away when your felting, and maybe watch you finger placement on the felting needle you may be putting too much pressure on the needles themselves.
Keep up the good work and enjoy, you have done real well for a first bear.
Very cute Lanie! And how tiny!!! Yep, your'e hooked
Very cute!!!
He is so cute!!!! I am sorry to hear about your poor fingers and broken needles but I would say that he is worth it.
Really cute little polar, Lanie . . . nicely done!
Lanie PIP is just so cute and petite. What such a lovely big nose he has.
Lynette
Great little guy, Lanie!
Be sure you are using the right size needle for the job... if you feel resistance, like you are stabbing a rubber ball, then you need to move to a smaller needle. Be sure you are poking straight up and down and not bending the needle as you go in. Once you get the hang of it... which, by the looks of Panda-Pip, you already have... you'll break far fewer needles. I haven't broken a needle in months and they do last forever!!
He's just adorable and I can't wait to see more of your needle felted work!
Congratulations!
Daphne

AWWW
Thanks for all your messages.
IVE GOT A FACE FULL OF SMILES...
My fingers are all healed now.
All the advice here is well worth taking note of.
Because Pip is only 1 1/2 "
I found it a struggle to hold onto his tiny pieces, so i found using a long doll needle to help pin him down as i worked helped.
RENAE... I STILL THINK IT WAS LUCK HE TURNED OUT THE WAY HE DID
DAPHNE... BRILLIANT ADVICE
I FOUND I REALLY LIKED THE FINER NEEDLES BEST...
HOWEVER I ENDED UP WITH ONLY A THIRTY EIGHT STAR... THEN I SLIPPED AND IT BROKE
I NOW ORDER THEM IN BATCHES OF TEN....
IM SO CLUMSY....AND EASILY DISTRACTED BY ANIMALS AND SMALL CHILDREN...
Lanie, your bear is FANTASTIC and so tiny  ! I'm learning too so can sympathize with the broken needles and poked fingers.
Tammy,
Hi hope they are better now...
Its sooo addictive though dont you think....
And you can make them look exactly as you wish...
I just wish i had more time....
Congratulations,
How gorgeous is he. An excellent little polar bear. It's hard to believe it is your first attempt! Looks like alot of fun I must give it a go.
Hugs
Vicki
