Yep! Ready and waiting...how about...oh shucks, I've sat here trying to think of something and nothing comes to mind...never mind I'm sure someone will make some good suggestions.
Hugs Jane.
I'm ready. And, I have an idea. How about wire armatures in small or mini bears???? That's something I've always wanted to try but don't know how.
Yes Patty, that sounds interesting!! Would love to see that.
I have done them in dolls that are soft sculpture bodies and sculpted faces and hands but not on a jointed bear. But I have been thinking about it. Maybe I can come up with a GOD inspired idea like I did with the jointing system that I shared in the mimi bear. Some times I just get a vision and when I try it ... it works So I know it doesn't come from me.Know what I mean?

Yep hands up for scissor sculpting...I have some bears that have tried it on and either cut to much fur and there whole expressions change.DOH!
Have one that I have always wondered ...........How heavy should your bears be or is it just trial and error
Debbie
Hmmm, I would like to know how heavy bears are supposed to be, scissor sculpting and wire armatures too!! All three sound like great ideas!!!
Kathleen
I am not the best one to teach scissor sculpting because I use such short fur but I will think about that one.
The art of expression in mini bears and how to get that soulful and loveable look!!!
You do that so well Jodi!!!

I am interested in all of the above ideas, esp since I have no clue as to what they are. I am just getting started in bearmaking so I am looking forward to learning all I can. I have two mini kits that I ordered and getting ready to make those. so I am game for any class.
Oh Jodi I am so sorry for what your friend is going through. For sure she need you now, just concentrate in giving her positives thoughts and love and when you need some down time, come to us.
I'll be praying to our Lord to help both of you to go through hard dark times and come back into the sun.

been designing new gollies....it amazes me how absolutely demanding they are.
So...when I think Jodi Falk I think of the whimsical expressions your bears have....Few are able to get more expression in such a small amount of space....and without their expressions they wouldn't be anything special at all, and yet, they are so special, because of the expressions....
Oh dear i am going in circles today...
so expressions, an opportunity to learn new methods of injecting expressions onto our kritters would be highly interesting
or if you are interested in a Christmas themed thing how about a tree topper?
totaly out to lunch,
gollyhugs

Well Miss Jodi, don't you worry a lick about us for now. Your plate is full. I will keep you and your friend in my prayers and ask my friends to do so as well. (We have a pretty good prayer chain.) When you are ready, I vote for a fun Christmas project too. Take care of yourself, ya hear now?
