We had Olive Gardens in Toronto until about 5 years ago, when they all closed down. :(

The last time I ate at an Olive Garden was 3 years ago, on Times Square in New York. No CL then . . . I would have seen it.

So . . . how do they do it? Chocolate sauce instead of tomato sauce, and nuts instead of meat, maybe? Oh, yes. And ladyfingers in place of the noodles. bear_laugh

Chocolate cake, buttercream frosting, shaved sweet chocolate or tiny chips

Repeat 2 x. YUM! There are lots of copycat recipes on-line.

Actually, I've got a daughter who makes the world's best truffles and cakes--she makes a fair bit of money around Christmas, selling to friends and neighbors.

If she's too busy, I've got a book called 'The Cake Bible' by Rose Levy Birnbaum. It is absolutely the best cookbook in the world for cakes. These are foolproof masterpieces, and not too complicated, once you get the hang of it!
