This is my little stach of mohairs, faux-fur, fabrics, trims, paints, magazines,etc....They are in my sawing room where i live most of the time

I just looked at my fabric and I don't even have one full fat eighth left...it's all scraps. I need to go shopping!!

How can you work in such a tidy space. I dont pile anything in. I like to keep everything at hand instantly.
I did though, buy a 2mt long 4door, 4 draw dresser for my workroom. Could'nt get the bugga through the door :lol:It's in the living room , taking up way too much space. :rolleyes:

About your dresser. I've had the same kind of problem again and again. I refuse to be beaten by fat furniture and narrow doorways/stairways.
1) Take the door off its hinges
2) Remove all the doors and drawers from the dresser before moving it--this makes it much lighter and easier to handle
3) Try wiggling it in upside down, sideways, in all positions you can think of
4) If none of this works, check and see if you can possibly take the frame apart, or the legs/feet off (if any). If so, you're home. If not . . .
The only piece of furniture that absolutely resisted my method is a huge ugly brown sofa that my eldest daughter left on the second floor when she moved out. We'd had no trouble carrying it up the stairs, but couldn't get it down whatever we tried.
So I brought my little Ryobi hand saw upstairs and sawed off one end of the sofa, just one arm and a bit. First I had to unstaple the upholstery fabric, of course, but that was easy. Once I got the wretched thing downstairs (all by myself) it was a fairly easy matter to put the sofa back together with steel mending plates and screws.
It's quite possible that you can take apart your dresser frame and reassemble it again without any permanent damage. It just depends on how desperate you are to move it!!

My rule of thumb these days, is that if the fabric doesn't fit in my trunk, it doesn't get bought! The trunk is pretty roomy (see pic) and is always full!
My trunk was painted for me by a friend - she worked from a photograph of some of my Chiltern teddy bears. Oh and in case you're curious, the two guys sat on the trunk are two of my favourite personal bears. The big 'un is a Frank Webster (Charnwood Bears here in the UK) special and the smaller chap is a lovely Jane Humme bear (Netherlands).

Rufnut Teddy'sIrene, the flight is many hours, I think England is approx 24 hours + to give you an idea. Europe should be around the same.
