I'm so excited that I got to adopt "Miss Effie Wooster" , she is a LORABEARS creation, I just love the vintage look of her bears and have had my eye on one for quite sometime now and I guess today was my lucky day.....can't wait to hold this little sweety, she will be shipped out in the morning.....I'm doing the happy bear dance!
Cute cute cute!!
So, I have to ask you, Tami.... do you collect mainly vintage looking bears or do you collect other styles too? I was just getting annoyed with myself the other day about the fact that I LOVE vintage style bears, collect them and yet I can't make one to save my life thus the bears I make are contemporary. I don't understand it.
Miss Effie Wooster is absolutely wonderful! She'll be a joy to add to your collection!

Hi Daphne, I love antique things, I collect old books, teacups and vintage looking artist bears, I just love them.............. I guess because they are just so different from what I design they just appeal to me
Thank goodness there are so many artists out there that make such sweeties!!!
oh she's adorable Tami! I love Lora's bears. I too love that antiquey-look, tried to get it myself for my bears but I don't seem to be able to get the pattern right, and then am too afraid to grunge them up! Must take lots of courage I think
What a little sweetie, Miss Effie Wooster is!
No wonder you did the happy dance and you will be looking forward to her arrival.
Hugs

Awww, she is lovely Tami. Lucky you having adopted her, I love her name too. I have tried for a long time to get that vintage look on a traditional bear, but they always look fresh faced and new. I can't even start to say how many bears I've tried to make look vintage. Enjoy your new girl when she arrives.
Hugs, Jane.
Oh she is lovely! I was lucky enough to see Lora's bears in person at a show (before she sold out completely!) Congratulations!
She is utterly gorgeous - lucky you!
