Many congratulations to all the finalists!
I have been sent a rosette too but as it's the first time of entering & I'm fairly new to the bear-world, stupid me  thought everyone got a rosette for entering?!!! I take it this isn't the case from the other threads I've been reading? I feel really thick when, by the sound of things, I should feel quite proud! :crackup: 
Is it possible to ask who else from TT will be at the show in December as it'd be nice to see a friendly face as it's the first time I've ever been to a show let alone had a stand!

It'll be great to meet you at Hove as I've admired your bears for ages... I don't think mine will be anywhere near the standard of the other finalists though!

Just a little under-confident as I really didn't expect to get anywhere?! I've read about all the other finalists in magazines etc but I'm unheard of!!

hi julia,i'm exactly the same as you ,it's my first time of entering too,and i dont really feel worthy amongst all the amazing talent,i'll be going to hove but i dont have a stall dont feel ready for that yet,i'll look forward to seeing you there,and well done :dance:

I don't know about you but I really didn't expect to get anywhere & had kind of forgotten I'd entered - I've just been concentrating on getting everything ready in time for the stand!

hi julia,i certainly didnt expect to get anywhere and now i'm bricking it to be honest :crackup: but my lovely family are all doing the hula round me,i debated about a stand but i've never even been to a bear show yet ,so thought that would be a bit ambitious,maybe next year,i'll look out for you and come and say hello

I'll come and say "Hi" at the fair ... wasn't so long ago I was doing my first fair and I was SO nervous 
You'll find that everyone is really friendly so don't be nervous about the competition either - just have a really fab' day

It'll be lovely to meet you at Hove... As you say I'm a bit nervous as I've read about all the other finalists in magazines, etc but no-one will ever have heard of me! I don't know how my little "Bubble" will meet everyone else's standards?!

Hi Julia,

Many congratulations on your nomination.  :clap:

I can understand you must be pretty nervous for your first show.  I guess most artists still feel nervous after doing many shows.
You will find that the atmosphere of these shows is very congenial  and friendly and there will be plenty of TT'ers there to say HI to you.

Don't be surprised if your bears turn out to be very popular !  Every teddy bear lover has his/her own taste in teddy bears, so there is absolutely no point in comparing your work with other artists.  I'm sure you will have a great time and be absolutely exhausted at the end of the day  !

Keep us posted how it all went.

Many Congratulations Julia!!!  :clap:  :clap:  :clap: I've not been to Hove for a long time...but I remember feeling just like you when I first started entering competitions.. and was first nominated for a British Bear Artist Award, many moons ago...that mixture of disbelief and excitement and sheer fright!    You just enjoy your nomination its a huge achievement!! Have a wonderful day..and be very proud of yourself!!
