Oh,sounds wonderful ,Laura!!
Hi Tracy,I don't have time to go into detail but please just be carefull. I do tell my "Known" customers the reserve but a question about selling the bear out right and not finishing the auction should set up alarm bells. The place (Singapore) is not an indication of fraud but I did have a shady inquiry from there before. Please be careful. The other girls will probably answer soon but I just wanted to let you know to be careful as it doesn't sound totally right to me.
Anne, Shelli, Daphne and Brenda,thank-you for your thoughts and well wishesfor my surgery. We are very hopeful for a good outcome and I will be better than good on no time!!
Thank-you girls for all your support, your kind emails and your best wishes for my "birthday" surgery. You all mean the world to me and I will miss you all very much!
I just want to say that I am very sorry for all that my post has caused. I never dreamt that asking about using a bit of spray adhesive could be such a bee's nest. While I do respect everyone's right to their opinion , I feel it should be given while still respecting the feelings of others. I simply would not even be on this board at all if the people who are on it were not the loving, caring, supportive people that they are. I do realize now more than ever ,the special bond and incredible atmosphere that we have all created on TT.
I have just found out this morning after meeting with specialists that my condition that I am dealing with requires surgery to be done as soon as possible and I will be operated on on Feb. 21. (happy birthday to me  ) My surgeon is hopeful that all will be well but we won't know for sure until that time. I will be away from TT a great deal while my family and I prepare and then for awhile after while I recover. I think the stress of this very fast developing condition made me very emotional when I realized where my simple post had gone. I could not post a reply but felt very supported by all my friends here.Thank-you!!! You all mean a great deal to me!
Danni, my heart goes out to you  I'm so sorry that things like this happen to wonderful, caring, hard-working people who do nothing but give all they have to help and support others. You have all my hugs and my greatest respect!!
Thank-you so much Jenny for easing my mind on this issue. I'm dealing with a very stressful " personal " issue right now and just could not think of anything other than calling on you ladies for help in regards to the glue. You all came through for me just like I knew you would.Big appreciative, sloppy hugs!!
                 I'm so sorry.Wish I could express myself better

Thank-you so much girls for answering my concerns so quickly. I so love the way you girls support and love one another here on this board. Now if you would just please all pack up your stuff (families and lives) and move here to Scotsburn, I will be one happy camper!!
After reading the topic about "molded muzzles" ,I'm in a bit of a panic. I always treat the back of my faux furs with a "fabric glue wash" to make sure there is no stretching. I thought I had read here that I could use spray adhesive and glue light weight cotton or muslin to the bear peices and save myself a great deal of time and mess .Hooray!!
The problem is that now that I have read the other topic,I'm afraid the spray will harm my bear down the road someday. I bought a permenant spray that is meant for paper, wood ,fabric, rubber, metal etc. Please someone ,give me some advice before I continue with this poor bear. Thanks so much!!
Wonderful news!! Can't wait to see your articles! Hooray!!
No,I didn't get that one Sabine because I wanted the fabric attatched permantly so I bought a spray adhesive that works on everything (fabric, metal, glass, paper, wood, rubber etc.) Now I'm worried that it will damage my bear someday down the road  .Oh the horror!! Help, someone give us some advice!!
It scared me too.I just bought an adhesive spray glue to use on my faux fur to adhere a layer of lightweight cotton to stop the fur from stetching.I was sure I read about this technique on here somewhere. Please someone tell me if this will eventually harm my bear. Thanks!!
Dilu,I found the pattern for the felt Kewpie and posted a picture under a new heading "Dilu,a Kewpie for you" but I'm afraid you may not have seen it.Maybe I should try and move it here  Let me know if you see the pictures and what you think.
I know this is trhe wrong place to post but I wanted to be sure Dilu saw my post.
Here is a picture of the felt Kewpie pattern I told you about.I think you did a wonderful job on your Kewpie golly.Just email me if you want more info.  I also have a pattern for a Huglet which could also work as it has a similar style head.
Dilu,I have the felt kewpie doll pattern here somewhere. I tried to find it just now but I feel sick and I'm going off to bed.I'll look again tomorrow.Sorry.
Congratulations Judi!!!   The nominations are certianly well deserved and I'm so pleased that the judges recognized your incredible talent and hard work!!
Oh, Marion and Dilu, I love those pins!!
Did you say ebay?? I would love to have those.
I'll have to go search.
Wow,wow, wow!! Your hard work really paid off and you have certianly captured the essence of this adorable, sweet squirrel.Awesome!!
She's adorable and amazing just like a "Shelli " bear is meant to be!!
Sue Ann, you did an awesome job, your bear is simply stunning. I have made a few real fur bears and I know how difficult it is. I did not achieve results that even come close to yours I really love the feet.
Yes I remember Sue Ann, thanks
Judi, yes it all makes sense, thanks for giving me item numbers to focus on.
I have three taxidermist cataloges now and want to order to make some realistic bears.
Judi can you tell me which eyes you like and what color and size? It gets a bit over whelming and I don't want to end up with a bunch of stuff I can't use. I would love to hear about what others have used and liked.
Hi Clare I have placed some bids, hope you don't mind sending all the way to Canada
I'm sure I will be outbid in no time though, you have some great stuff going for great prices
Wish me luck!!
Denise, you did a wonderful job on the sofa , it looks stunning. I have plans to do two sofas and a love seat. I have a pattern for slip covers that are very fitted and may do that for one. Can you tell me how much fabric you used? The figuring of fabric is so hard.
I love your painting too. I have a set of wooden chairs in a similar shape to the one you pictured. They belonged to my grandmother and are a bright teal over red over deep brown. Sounds aweful but the paint has worn away on odd parts. They would look lovely with a paint job like yours. I'll have to put that om my list

Everyone is so darn talented!! What an awesome group we are!!
