This is exactly why I have been missing all of you - cos you are such Wonderful people
- thank you for being so lovely   -
My mood was so much better today and believe it or not I coped better too
well tonite a slightly lesser pile of work so a reward of a short visit to TT is in order
Hi Shantell, Hi Kim - Oh thank you
- you just improved my day/night a thousand fold
I must go and mark now but you have so so brightened my mood
Hi all   ,
And how much have I missed my nightly dose of TT?? loads and loads
however, time of year for me is pretty insane just now and add to that general stress levels -oooo Ouch!!
Our college term is ending in the next two weeks and students are appearing out of the wood work so lots and lots of work to mark (+200 odd exam papers since end of May ) so I have not been posting infact I had to keep myself away - not easy as you all know!!
Today I had an absolutely awful day and I just had to come visit with you all
I have tried to read posts that I have missed -
I am really sorry for those who have family and friends who are ill and would like to send you all masses of hugs      and will keep you in my thoughts
I love all the new animals some of you have been adopting
I am totally stunned with all the wonderful bears and critters that you have all been creating
I am so delighted to see that Dilu is well enough to post again
I think it is completely wonderful all the Lemonade Benefit Bears that are being auctioned on B4Bs and look forward to contributing later in the year.
I hope that everyone is doing okay and look forward to being back to my nightly visit very soon!!

Anne
Aleta, I am so sorry
Anne
I have needle felted on a six inch bear and then for the B&Bs competiton I needle felted onto upholstery velvet - muzzle, nose and paw pads the result seemed fine to me - but then I am hardly an expert on needle felting - just a beginner
The pictures are george who was mohair and nimbus (ursa entry) who is a polar bear
I hope to try more puffy toes in the future!!
Virtually all I read for pleasure is Science Fantasy or Science Fiction  I just love dragons, witches, warlocks, demons and every type of creature that is fantastical!!
No sensible books for me I like to live in a dream world!!
as for Non - fiction - well I read student assessments day in day out - oh wait a minute those can be works of fiction
No time for reading much just now - too busy to get the opportunity - maybe in summer!!
I have entries too in categories 1,2 and 7
- I just love all the bears and cats and mice and pigs and .............. soo many creatures and so many wonderful bears and buds to admire - I have entered competitions before - mainly where only the finalists are seen in the end up and I was always curious as to what all the entries looked like - this time it is fabulous to see all the amazing creations - some of whom I recognised from fellow TTers
I think the artistry in the URSA entries is simply stunning and what a terric Job the ladies at Bears and buds have done with this contest
I echo the applause for Ruth who must have spend hours and hours building all those category pages.
I am going to give myself a small treat this weekend and take time to see all the entries again and then I will vote - but it is so hard to choose!!
Best of luck to everyone - I think every single entry should win!!
You are doing Nothing Wrong Kim - I believe your little felties are darling creations - and I am not alone there - Ebay is soo tempremental at the best of times and there are lots of bears being listed - the UK artist bears section currently has over 1200 listings !! And when I looked last week there were more than 600 in the Artist one of a kind.
It may be that the time of year is effecting sales on ebay as I have noticed that ebayers are not bidding so much on bears overall - and bear makers I have seen before are having less bids on their bears.
Also with so many entries in the category let alone the large number of featured items- maybe ebayers are seeking less far for a bear - I also have noticed for example on the UK site that some users previously avid bear purchasers are actually making bears themselves and showing them on ebay
So lots and lots of bears - maybe still even the same number of homes seeking bears
I would Stress again - your felties are wonderful
I am lucky enough to have two so I feel qualified to comment
Do not worry if a little bear has not yet found a home - as was said on another post - if a bear is not yet adopted then its new mum has not seen it yet - Do not get down hearted - remember you yourself have a wonderful marketing technique, your bears are totally individual and do not take it personally when a little bear does not find a home immediately - for all you know the little bear may be desparate to stay with you in your loving home!!

Such a wonderful outcome for what must have been a completely harrowing experience for everyone concerned - how sad that one of the miners was not spared.
Their families must be so relieved
I am sending positive thoughts for this little girl and her family - I hope her condition improves soon - what a poor little girl to have suffered so
Sandy
I got your email, sorry I did not answer sooner - will you count me in for September for a bear - if that is okay with you
Anne
Hi dilu,
I am ever so glad that your surgery has done fine
- and that you are resting well to recouperate
- what a wonderful hubby to take care of you and make sure you do not overdo the medication!!
I bet those little ones who were lucky and got your little bears will treasure them and of course remember the lovely lady who made them!!
Hope the fires get under control quickly and that you and all around you keep safe.
See you posting when you are feeling up to it but do take the very best of care to get all better

Me too!!
If I had a web cam you would all be able to see just how like me it is when I chuckle and giggle away at the posts on TT sometimes
But then TT can always cheer me up on a bad day   thanks Quy
I'm gonna join in too
Rita,
I am lucky enough to have met Rita in person on a number of occassions (and some of her family too!!)
Okay you all know Rita makes the most fabulous bears - they are tremendous in person !! I have a cat that Rita made for me and it is soo life like!!
But I met her when I was just early on in my bear making (I was a visitor at a fair - in my pocket I had one of my very early mini bears - not so wonderful but - I showed it to her and she was soo encouraging and just downright lovely to someone she had never met!!) cos Rita is a lovely and kind lady and then she arranged for me to meet up with her and two of her daughters at a London Fair I was attending (only as a contestant and a visitor)and they were soo soo sweet to me (I was there on my own - but because of them I had a great time - Rita made sure I was okay that weekend even to making sure I would have a taxi to take me away from the fair on the second day - so I did not have to stand and wait on my own!!)
Apart from that I have since then exhibited at the same fair venues as Rita from time to time - she always always comes to see my bears ( she actually has one too!!) and on every occassion she has made me feel wonderful about my bears!!
I miss now that fairs are almost gone in Scotland having the opportunity to meet and talk to Rita often in person - I am proud to call her friend and believe that she enriches the life of all she meets
Oh yes and she is the most fabulous tailoress - you should just see the people clothes she makes never mind the bear ones!!
Rita is a perfect gem (Ruby infact) of a person !!

Dilu,
When you get time to read these posts - I do hope that your recouperation is progressing well and that you are having fun catching up with everything - but of course takign it easy too
Best wishes for a speedy convalescence

Oh dear now I am really worried about myself - I have just read through this post (chortling, snickering and generally falling off my computer chair!!)
Thank you ladies!! I returned to my day job Tuesday after Easter break - it has been Hell for two days - I think I got amnesia during the break which makes life difficult when you are trying to lecture on things like the internal components of a PC or worse still Legislation related to computing
Anyhow this post has really helped I am now smiling inanely to myself (john is asleep!!)
but I now have a burning desire to find out the answers to Erins questions:
When you choke a smurf, what color does it turn?
What's another word for thesaurus?
Can someone Please give me the answers

How devistating for your friend
I like the others think your idea is lovely and so very thoughtful
I hope for your friend that she manages to cope with her grief and find peace
Anne
These are wonderful cards Dilu - very beautiful!!
Happy Birthday and thank you Teddy Talk :bday: :cake:
You have created a home on line for a terrific group of people - you all deserve an award for the concept and maintenance/extension of TT
There would definitely be a big gap in my week were it not for TT and the wonderful participants
Thank you for allowing me this wonderful place to visit and commune

Unfortunately my mother disposed of my teddy a lot of years ago (to a jumble sale she said!!) - maybe that is why I make bears
Amanda you did not have a Grinch nose you were a cute baby!!
Happy Easter everyone - thanks Jane for all the good wishes - all th epictures are so cute - have a great time wherever you are whatever you do
What a lovely kitty!!
Terrific design Stephanie!!
Tamil
Congratulations
Your Barbie design is absolutely stunning - a well deserved win!!
I hope you are taking it easy and pampering yourself after this amazing achievement - although I am sure I remember on another post you have won other awards for your Barbie designs - truly a wonderful artist
I had a break in London for a few days - I just love London and there are so many things to see.
So while we were there one of the places we visited was the V&A museum and look what I found there - this must have been designed with TTers in mind
Wouldn't you just love one for your house??
- there was also a teddy jacket beside it though the picture is not great bet that is really warm in winter
Just thought I would share
