Oh heck yeah Judi,
TT is a
... but I guess we assumed everyone here couldn't live without it ... it's like breathing that's essential too!

Sandi
Judi, last night was Friday night for me.
I spent most of it alone ('cept for the dog and bears) in front of the fire, sewing bears with the occasional trip to TT.
Pretty ordinary evening, but Glenn's in the hospitality industry so he works some funny shifts.
Now tonight will be different ... I'll probably spend it with Glenn in front of the fire, sewing bears with the occasional trip to TT.

ESSENTIALS? Well the list goes on ...
For me it's yellow gold or nothing in jewellery...I have allergic reactions to anything with nickle in it...very convenient hey?
Good toilet paper, bears, ironed bed linen, bears, comfortable leather shoes, bears, fresh flowers (prefer gerberas or daffodills generally, but roses on special occasions), bears, Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate, bears, hair cut and coloured every six weeks, bears but above all else
MY LOVING HUSBAND.
Mushy? Yeah, I know, but he's my mate.
Big Hugs to everyone,
Sandi
Kassie,
Just as I thought ... You have beautiful eyes too!
I've just gotta find a decent photo of me to post ... Now that could take a very, very long time!!!
Sandi
Well done Connie,
He is just gorgeous.
Like Sarahjane and Dilu, I love nutcrackers.
It must have taken hours of work ... the detail is superb.
I'm sure your hubby will love it as much as we all do.
Big
Sandi

Sandi
Kassie,
Your head's not in the sand it's in your hat!
How about a photo where we can see your eyes.
You have a lovely smile, but the eyes show the soul!
Hugs,
Sandi
Jennie,
I am sure you realise by now, that some of our best bears are born in error. I know I have created
design errors and they have turned out to be my quickest sellers.
Beauty, surely is, in the eye of the beholder and I think Brownie is just delicious ... good enough to eat!!!

Sandi
They are both really sweet Kimberly.
The mint one is my favourite. I like what you've done with the shading.
Sandi
Judi,
Thanks for the info. I have never tried three sections.
When I did Amelia, I used one piece like you did this time, but I used locknuts instead of cotterpins. I find this the easiest to do.
Sandi
Eileen,
I believe Australian artist Monica Spicer, uses a solid joint to do a double jointed neck in some of her bears.
Somewhere amongst my hundreds of magazines she had an article where she used a round piece of wood (dowell I think) angled the ends and as far as I remember she drilled a hole through the middle. Then I think she stuck the mohair over it.
When I find the article I'll let you know which magazine it was in.

Renae
Your right there's no many spelt that way. I named my youngest daughter Tremayne Renee. The Renee was after my mum who was Irene but called Rene.
Sarah
I think there are a couple of Sandi's here. I noticed Sandi S, which is funny because my surname also begins with S.
Sandi
Well done Kate,
He looks terrific. Love him to bits. If he was mine I'd call him Mister Stubbs ... to me he looks more like an elderly gentleman ... don't ask me why  he just does!
Please, please put a link in.
Sandi
P.S. Love your choice of mohair ... what did you use?
Oh, Little Boy Blue you are a cutie!
Sandi
Judi,
I just loooove your bears, I think you do a wonderful job with them.
I hope you don't mind my asking ... when you make a double jointed neck, do you use a solid joint between the head and body or do you stuff it? I have seen both done before, but I just wondered which you personally preferred.
Big
Sandi
Bronwen,
To answer your question ... one.
Sandi
Hi Kimberly,
She definitely has that "Mumma, pick me up and take me home look" that is so appealing to collectors.
I think you have done a really good job with the shading too.
Love her to bits and sooo tiny. I don't know how you make bears so small.
