I think you did a wonderful job on the little fellow! Very cute!

some of my heads have had 15 pieces in them
Holy pattern piecing nightmares, Batman!
15 pieces?
I get twitchy just trying to coax 3 head pattern pieces together properly. Whew!
My hat's off to you Jenny. Your bears are simply gorgeous and I will look at them with new eyes now.
15 pieces... I'm blown away...
I've been looking forward to seeing Father Christmas ever since your thread on making curls in roving with mod podge. (Cool technique!) He was definitely worth waiting for! He is wonderful. So much detail! His eyes are beautiful so are his clothes! Thanks for sharing!!

I was wondering about his cute little teddy friend though... he looks a litttle mischevious.... Do you think the meltables in the bag will be safe??
Beary Christmasy smiles,
Thank you ladies!
You truly warm my heart!
Many hugs
Bonnie, make sure you polish your (I mean bear's) nose first! Then you get that smooth glanz!
Polish it? With what? Shoe polish? Wax? Something else?
????
I love him and his bauble, Mel! Great work!!
What a chipper little fellow! (chocolate 'chip'per? Mmmm.)
I love the fur! Great job Patsy!

Like him? Your customer will love him!
What a wonderful first mohair bear!

Aaaww! How cute! Honey made me smile as soon as I saw her.
He is simply gorgeous, Marion! What wonderful fur! He looks so snuggly and I love his face and shiny nose.
Beautiful!

Thanks Intercal, for creating Teddy Talk! And thanks to Johnna, Brynn, Kjeld, Shelli, Sue Ann, Dilu, Chris, Neysa, Quy and Dale for keeping it all running smoothly! And thanks to all my new TT friends for being such a fun, sharing, caring, and all around great bunch! Happy Holidays to all of you!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: TT ROCKS!!!

Thanks Deb and Shelli,
You girls are way too nice... ...not that I mind!
You'll be delighted when you "graduate" to mohair, because it's so much easier to sew and turn.
Boy, I'm glad to hear that! I like long, thick plush, but there were times while making this bear I was ready to pull out my hair and the bears too!! lol

Jenny,
How crummy! I am so sorry all this happened to you!
It is sooo frustrating when a sincere, honest person is just trying to take care of their own business and then gets slammed like this by an unscrupulous person who is just being mad and vindictive about being called out about their own dishonesty!! Aargh!  That sort of thing really makes me mad!!
I can't even count how many times I would have liked to have left negative feedback but have refrained from doing so for fear of unfair retaliatory feedback.
Me too, Judi! It makes me wonder how many other people do this and how much of the positive feedback I see would actually be neutral or negative if the people didn't have to worry about unfair retaliatory feedback.
I'm glad you got your money back Jenny and I hope you get that negative taken off quickly. Meanwhile, don't let the old meanies get you down!!
Many hugs,
Whew! For a while, I couldn't remember where I ask about nose lacquer!
I'm glad I finally found it!
I've heard that your memory is the second thing to go as you age...
Hmmm, I can't remember what the first thing is....
Anyway, I've been wanting to try lacquering a nose, but didn't know what to use. I'll look for this. Thanks Kim!
Thank you all for the generous comments.
Like I said, I've been practicing hard at bear-making... and I've had some great teachers here. I know I haven't ask a lot of questions (yet) but I have spent hours searching posts for different things. So far all the questions I've had have already been ask and answered... plus some answers I didn't even have questions for yet!! LOL
Here at TT I feel like a student to some of the best 'bear masters' around. I really appreciate the supportive, sharing and caring atmosphere here.
TT ROCKS!! Woohoo!!
Thanks again!!
many hugs
He is lovely and looks sooo cuddly! Super job on his mouth and expression!

She is very lovely, Sandi. Lucky friend!!
Her outfit is so cute with the pretty collar and snowflake. Your friend will be delighted!

I love these Chrissie, Thanks for sharing.
I wish my dog would do more in the kitchen... at least she helps me clean up spills....

Congratulations Kim!! Lucky girl!!
Super job Kim! I like everything about her. Her hair, her eyes, her collar, her expression, everything! Well done.

What did you laquer her nose with?
