I had never considered bearpile until I heard the discussion here - didn't really know much about it before that but now am definitely interested. I emailed the owner to ask some questions but never heard back from him???? Can anyone tell me if you have to have a website to host your photos or is uploading them similar to here and ebay? Is this something that a computer challenged person can handle or not???
Thanks, and sorry to butt in on your question, Kim, but this just seemed like a good opportunity - especially since yours seems to be answered!  bear_grin

Wow, was that ever neat, Jane! You sure fooled me - wondered how I hadn't heard a word about a TT cruise and there I was in front of the Taj Mahal!
What fun!

Thanks and Bear hugs, Edie

I have a 17" screen and I have to scroll over to see it too - about 1 1/2" on some pages and 3" on others - have no idea what my resolution is set to though!

Great avatar, Kassie - but everyone doesn't need to change their avatars for us to see them, they just have to add their own photo to the "user photos" list and then we can see them if we hold our cursor on their avatar! Do you know how hard it is for us newcomers to remember who everyone is when they change their avatars! lol! (although I've been thinking of changing mine too - just need another 10 hours in each day and then I might get around to it!

Sounds great Shantelle! Nothing like a day with your daughter! Plus all that pampering too!

Heather, that is just great! You obviously did a fantastic job of teaching and your Grandma is either a natural or a VERY quick learner! Fabulous bear - even if it hadn't been a first!!!

She's lovely, congratulations!

Uh Oh! I got it right!
But honestly it was just pure logic that it had to have something to do with the guy she couldn't find so the only thing that made "sense", in a theoretical way, was that she thought he would come to the sister's funeral if he came to the mother's - see pure logic! I'm definitely not a psycho!!!!

Best wishes, Sheila, and I hope you make a speedy recovery!

This is one case where it pays to make mini bears! Shipping on items under 250g is quite reasonable both to the US and International - $5.95 - $7.30 - the rates only get crazy when you have a heavier or larger parcel.
The same is true when shipping from the States to Canada - their letterpost rate for small parcels is even cheaper than ours and can be as low as a couple of dollars by air. That is what really ticks me off when I have to pay $15 or more for postage on a parcel from the US and when it gets here it only cost them 2 or 3 dollars to mail it - a lot of people don't seem to know that US letterpost is not just for letters (wish they would just call it something else and that would save the confusion!) I had quite a "discussion" with one lady trying to convince her that she could send my parcel that way for a couple dollars but she kept saying how could it possibly be cheaper to mail it to Canada than within the US. She finally agreed to try and charged me $3.95 and sure enough it was only about $2.00. We have the same problem here in Canada as the small packet rates are not for within the country - I can actually mail a small parcel to Australia cheaper than I can to Calgary which is 2 hours away! The only problem with our small packet rate and the US letterpost rate is that there is no tracking on it so not so good if you are sending an expensive item - although ours does have $100 insurance included.
Anyway, when it comes to the Post Office I don't think we can do much but complain *grin*

ONE - it asks how many are in THIS sentence (doesn't say anything about whether it's in a word, Lisa!) and then leads you on with the text after to distract you and make you think you should count the f's in it!

Well, I've sent in my final ad copy to Kellie for approval - keep your fngers crossed for me that I got it right this time! This has been quite a learning experience for me never having done anything like this before on my own. Also sent in the ad form and payment so I guess I am doing an ad whether my own works out or not. With the amount of time I spent on it (doing and redoing and redoing!) it would have been much cheaper to send the photos and let them do the whole thing for me but this way will have much more satisfaction - unless my ad looks really amateurish compared to everyone elses!  bear_ermm

Krista, I always pay by going directly to the PayPal site, log in, and then select send money, then ebay payments (can't remember the exact wording but you can choose either pay anyone or pay ebay purchases) and then it will show whatever you have bought on ebay that is not paid for yet and you just follow through the steps - if they haven't adjusted the postage for Canada then just change the amount showing on that line. I don't think you'll have any problems doing it this way.

I'm hoping to do an ad - haven't heard back from Kellie whether my prototype was good enough quality so am getting a bit worried I might run out of time if I have to try again! June is turning into a busy month with a couple trips away too! I think it would be great to be a part of this so am keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out!

Thanks Sheila! That will be tough to not be able to use your computer! But maybe you'll get lots of bears sewed!!!! I hope the surgery goes well and you will be running back up and down those stairs in no time!
