Ahhh scrapbooking. I've been a rubber stamper for years, never REALLY TRUELY clicking with it. Even had our own range of rubber stamps that Time To Stamp now carry. Anyhow, so I've seen the HUGE rise of scrapbooking. When it first came out, I thought.. why...most of it is ugly. However, it has really grown up, and there's some really lovely stuff being made now. I feel the pull towards trying it.. but since I don't have kiddies... I'm going to stay strong!
Love your page and bear Shelli. You are a multi talented lady!
Danni
Welcome Linda, it's great to have you here, you do amazing work.
Dilu, your new work is gorgeous, like always!
Danni
Oh Congrats Carolyn, that's WONDERFUL news! I'm in your position, I won't see it for ages, but I wanted to congratulate you anyhow. That's fantastic news. You must be over the moon!
Danni
Okay, I'm biting.. What is a bidet?
Okay.... You could have written that BEFORE my sister re-did it.
Could people take a look now and let me know what they see? If you visited before, you will need to hit R + Control to reload the page properly...
Thanks!
Danni
Oooh well, I'm blaming my sister for that one LOL She did it (honestly!) not me LOL
Thanks girls, fantastic news LOL
Danni
P.S i"m getting Nikki (sister) to check it out, so it should be fixed soon!
I think you could be right about the small parts. I rather think your idea of bears hitting the grog to be.. welll.. funny.... I know I shouldn't find it funny, perhaps scary, but the image of a drunk teddy bear is too much LOL
Danni
Ahh thanks Hayley, I meant to write that I found that out! As I was flipping through a catalogue I found the instructions for the wax.
Thanks for letting me know though!
Danni
Thanks Carolyn,
I just re-uploaded the index and images, so hopefully it's working now.
I would appreciate people to STILL take a look and tell me if it works./
Thanks,
Danni
Hi Everyone,
I have been told by a friend that the front page of my website isn't working. That the three graphics (links to my mum's, sisters, and mine) aren't showing up. That she sees little boxes with Xs.
Can you please go to http://www.delartful.com and let me know what you see? If you see the banner graphics with links to the individual webpages????
Many thanks!
Danni
Ooh beatiful work Dilu, Shari and Nance!
Can't wait till I have something new to share....
Danni
Wow, Nance, some people make me sick, and you are one of them LOL Just kidding here.
You are such a talented girl. Have you ever failed at anything (craft/art) in your life?!??! LOL
Danni
Hehehe Jossan, your dressed bear could be an adorable cross dressing bear LOL Now that WOULD be different
I'm with Jossan, EVERY single bear I've ever made have been boys...... Oh well, I'll have to attempt a girl won't I?!?!
Oooh wow Daphne, I agree with Sue Ann, HOW ROMANTIC!! I want to be proposed to, just like that.. might be a problem though, not sure if I could get up on top of a mountain to begin with
Thankyou for sharing your BEAUTIFUL photos!!! Tucker sure is handsome!!! Your parents look gorgeous, and your hubby is a cutie... you are also gorgeous!
Danni
Thanks so much everyone for your tips. I think the Ezy wax sounds the easiest, so it's probably the way to go ... for me anyhow......
I have some wax that I purchased when I first got into bears. Hayley, do you know if the wax Gerry's sells is Ezy Wax or not? I might have to melt that stuff...
Danni
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick question for everyone. I am wondering how you wax a nose? Do you melt it first? I was just wondering if sometimes the wax hardens on the brush before you get it onto the nose, or am I just worried over nothing?
Thanks,
Danni
Oh Sue Ann, it didn't seem that long!!!! Did you miss us? We missed you!!
Is your hubby the romantic type, and write you poetry??? You must be such a proud wife....
Congratulate your hubby on our (The board's) behalf!
Danni
Oh Jane, your bear is adorable! I have NO Idea why you're not totally happy with him! He is gorgeous.
Danni
Hi Shantell,
I KNOW exactly what you mean!!!!! When I first started making bears, I thought I wouldn't venture into designing my own bears, I would just purchase Kits. That was because when I would look at the wonderful mohair online, I would have no idea what it would look like and what pile I would need. Having said that though, I designed my own pattern after making three kit bears
You do really learn quickly. I purchased a sample pack from Gerrys (an Australian Mohair online supply) That really helped me!! It had in it, a sample of EVERY mohair available, every foot pad, every synthetics. It also had some $5 coupons, and a free pair of test eyes LOL I really think that was the best thing I've purchased EVER LOL Have a look where you want to purchase mohair from, and see if they offer samples, or sample cards etc.
GOOD LUCK! Have fuN!
Danni
OoooOooOOoooOoooOOOOOoooooOOOoooh Poor Dilu. I am so sorry you are feeling so gross with your headache.
Rest up, get better, and we'll look forward to reading your posts when you're back (Along with Sue Ann and Daphne!)
