Happy Birthday from Downunder- :bday: :cake: :bday: :cake: :bday: :cake:
You have created a great place for all of us from all over the world to get to know each other! It is informative friendly and very easy to use.

I can feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yuk and ouch!!!!
I have had an ingrown toe nail before and it become infected and then had to be operated on!!
But not being able to sew is a worse fate!!
I second that Patsy. I just watch the news and saw areas completely distroyed. I hope everyone is safe!!!
Did they warn you about taking removing your auction?? I have had a warning on Aussie ebay when I first selling regularly.
I think now someone has to report it. I also have just noticed a button at the bottom of the auctions that says
What else can you do?

I have never noticed it before this weekend.
HI Helen
I know you have probably put allot of blood sweat and tears in making the bear for them. and now even more tears .
But I have always been told the customer is always right even of they were very difficult. It is very hard to be gracious when something like this happens. About 8 years I have had one lady complain about a bear that was supposed a twin to the one her sister bought. They were made from the same fabric and dressed identically. She was comparing her bear to a photograph of her sisters (one taken outside and the other in). You would know how light affects the colour in a photo. About 3 years later I heard that she was still complaining!!
I do find it is always better to be gracious as one bad customer always tells everyone. Satisfied customers generally do not "spread" the word. When selling any good it is a good idea to have a return policy. I never take any money for order ( not that I accept them now as I hate being under pressure to make bears) I send them a photo when it is finished and then they send the money if they want it. I find this a great way. If they don't get back to me I sell it at a show or to one of my customers on my list.
Also, trying to satisfy someone else's ideas is very difficult indeed!!
You said they altered bits as they went and you kept them informed. Please remember they probably do not understand the stress you went thru to make the bear especially for them.
Keep your chin up! The next customer will love your bears!!!!!
my children had great delight in getting us all morning (yesterday for us here in Aus)
soooo cute!!!! They are adorable.
Wow!!! What a gorgeous garden Kate!! Make me feel very guilty as mine has been very neglected in the last few months!!! I wouldn't dare show it. Here in Brisbane, we have had water restrictions here for a few months so it all is a little drab. Hopefully the little rain we have had recently will green things up a little before winter.
Enjoy Spring!!!! It is the best time of year.
Well done - Sam!!!! What a great place to start entering competitions. I was brought up in Toowoomba and won my first Best in Show there along time ago!!!!
Keep up the good work!
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful place to live - I will make sure I look at the live reports!!
My Girls will be envious of the horses!!!
Hi
We have been very fortunate that there were no deaths as a result of cyclone Larry!!
I have several friends that live in the area. The devastation is very horrific to say the least. I have just finished reading our local paper and there is a picture of a lady standing in her house and there is no roof. Her sewing machine is sitting on the bench and looks untouched.
We are very lucky that our warning systems for cyclones are very good but nothing can really prepare you for the damage. Our government seems to be acting very quickly. They have already organised allot of the essential services - the power system will not be fully operational for several weeks but they have organised huge generators to be transported in.
Our thoughts are with them. They have lots of work to clean up the mess left by all the debris.
If you would like more info - you can go to one of the aussie news sites like www.news.com.au
Well done Hayley! You didn't tell me you had entered. Denise came in and said hello and told me.
It is a really great bear!!! Keep up the good work!!
HI Everyone
I will add my little bit - I am Aussie born and bred!!!!
We love this country and always love to travel.
I have been on the road for the last few days and am currently in Dubbo which is in central the Central of NEW SOUTH WALES.
We have been to the beach for the last few days- along the NSW coast- we should have dropped in to say Hi to LISA R.
We are now taking the children to the Zoo in Dubbo and then onto the Blue mountains.
On Sunday we are going to SYDNEY for the SYDNEY Teddy Bear Fair. I will hopefully catch up with Denise and a few others
I will post a few pictures when I get home to Brissie.
Big hugs Lisa
Dear Jane
As I was reading thru the posts all I could think of was lead or some other form of poisoning and Hayley ideas of a rat or snail poisons.
Our thoughts are with you.
Here is a big hug from downunder
