Okey Dokey, count me in! I was just thinking about a valentine bear last night when I found a nice piece of red mohair. I have never joined in a challange, no time like the present though... how does it work?
Ask Johnna she knows everthing! And she is nice too (from Intercal). I only order from Intercal, over the years I have found that they are spot on in terms of customer service, and quality of products.
I love it!
I do tend to exagerate a tiny little bit but it was funny and fun
That's why I love shows, sometimes I forget I'm supposed to sell bears, I love to visit, and yes trade a wee bit of teddy gossip, and laugh and hug and meet new friends. I did all that so I count it a success
Today I met TTers Luann, and Sunnie, of course I already know Donna
Those ladies are crazy! so of course I fit right in and felt like I was one of the gang
We made furture evil plans for other shows, and of course the mystery of the red shoes is not to be discounted either.
We also discovered that my bears have the added bonus of being able to roll well, since they are mostly big round head! it rolled halfway across the show room floor mowing down collectors and artist alike, a sight to see I tell you Thanks for the discovery Luann

That is a very good idea Aleta, one that I forgot... (short term memory ) A new goal for me is to visit and comment on blogs and actually write on my blog.
Speaking of blogs, lets all try to exchange links to blogs or websites.

Is anybody going to the Nevada City Teddy Bear Convention this year?
Don't worry, I won't make you be my roommate I am just curious.
Dorothy
When my son Don was in Australia with the Conservation Corps I sent him a package of treats and snacks. Cost me $90.00 for $20.00 worth of stuff And they opened it leaving a note and taking his beef jerky!
However he came home with some excellent candy so delicious!
On a sad note, he was so happy with his tea tin called a "billy" that he brought back, within a month on a camping trip his buddy backed over it and it was ruined
Here is a picture of Don petting a burrowing type creature in Australia.

Hello all,
I need a roommate for the convention. I have reserved the River Room at the Outside Inn. It has a queen bed and a twin in a little alcove type ajoining room. It is within walking distance of the convention and shops/restaurants. We can split the costs and or pro rate it if you come later. I will proably arrive on Weds. before the show and leave Sun. or Mon.

I have decided to place a banner ad on Teddy Talk It's not real fancy, but I had fun making it. Big decision for me, a commitment to myself, taking my bear making seriously and myself. Next stop, I'm sending some pics into the bear magazines. (Rocky music in the background) and then of course I'll lose weight, and travel, maybe buy a fancy car, add a little arm candy, a new castle to live in, and all because I put a banner ad on teddy talk!

this is what it looks like
Wow! I am worn out just reading about this christmas tree guy. Don't tell anyone, I did have a tree, a live er dead, well umm, cut tree this year. But I never got around to putting any ornaments on it. I did get the boxes of decorations out of the garage tho... I think that counts for something, kinda. I knew a woman years ago that didn't take her tree down till July, it was very very dry. I asked her why and she said she was busy and didn't get to it. Of course we won't talk about the cat potty box in her back room either, (stinky).
Merry Christmas everybody :cake:
