Wow!!
How cool. Glad to see you are still creating!
Wow!!!
Love it! I've got lots of "relatives" at my house..lol
Love the hat!
Wonderful...so much character!
What a wonderful face! I love your little mouse...awesome!!
I just saw online that the Dancing Bear costume from Captain Kangaroo sold for $207,019. http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/6/prweb10826663.htm
The actor and puppeteer, Gus "Cosmo" Allegretti who donned the costume, plus other characters such as Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Moose, Grandfather Clock, has passed away. http://www.today.com/entertainment/acto … 6C10871652
Boy, reading these articles sure took me back to my childhood!
Loved it!!
While I am no prude and not offended by a little raunchiness, I found this movie totally offensive. My husband and I went to see it at the theater-something we do very little because of finances. The young men in the audience found the whole thing hillarious...lots of jabs against gays, nasty sexual talk...just bad, bad, bad...the writer of this piece needed to be reined in to be able to write something that was funny and not offensive.
what a cutey!!
Wow, seems like we oldsters in the bear world are dropping like flies. :(
hugs,
Leeann
For the old timers...just saw on Sally Winey's facebook page that Jim Wallace of Stier Bears passed. His wife, Kathy passed a few years earlier.

Great job! Makes me miss doing shows!

Yepper, Mr Charlie had a bunch of fun alright...but if you look at the big picture, he didn't destroy stuff that was really important...didn't get into the garbage, or 2 bins of dog food...stuff that would have really ticked us off. He's a pretty smart guy!
lol
On Saturday, Michael & I left the house at 11:30-had to get taxes done and running around…
got home at 6:30…
I opened the front door, and Michael said what came out of my mouth was like the father in the movie The Christmas Story….
Charlie had gotten out of his crate!! He's a German shepherd/great dane/mastiff mix about 15 months old...
The front room was a mess!!
He’d went into Michael’s tool room, got out all the paper towels-about 6-8 and brought them out to the front room..
he’d gotten his basketball out of the room too and brought that out….
bird seed/thistle & the white stuff-all over the floor…
he knocked the phone off the hook from the tool room….from my studio he took out the blue bag I bring to work…
tore it up along with the umbrella-he didn’t destroy my canvas lunch box….
the grocery bags we save from under the sink in the kitchen were EVERYWHERE
…and from there he also got a new big box of tall kitchen bags all over the front room….the refill bottle of soft soap (not too much of it in there thankfully) had the lid off and chewed up…..
the green plastic watering can chewed up…..
my new shoes, the taupe ones-he’d chewed up and HIDDEN under the coach!!
Now what he didn’t destroy…didn’t get into the trash…didn’t get into the 2 dog food containers…didn’t break michael’s father’s flat screen tv that was in the tool room on the floor…no furniture…drapes ok….and no #1’s or #2’s!
He had a high ol’ time!
Michael said that yesterday morning, he had 3 dumps of just thistle seed.
It was fun fun fun!
How cute is that! Tres suis jolee!
I took French in high school, but that was in the '70's so I'm really rusty!
Love it!

Hey, Miss Bobbie, nice words, thank you!! It's Krikau now (crick-cow). I started in the early 90's when it was waning a bit, and then in 2004 I was lucky enough to get nominated for a Toby.
My life has changed so much for the better. Five years ago last December I moved from Ohio to Elkhart, IN to get married to a wonderful guy. We married in June, coming up 5 years in a few months, on a fabulous day where we couldn't have picked better weather if we'd ordered it personally-the weatherman even said that on tv that morning-on the Elkhart Riverboat Queen, surrounded by family and friends.
We now have 4 dogs-you may remember my shih tzu, Annie-she resembled my Toby nominee...she passed at the age of 12 the 2nd year I lived here. I have another shih tzu, Cassie, that my husband got for my birthday 3 years ago this coming September. Plus another dear dog, my Liebchen, my German shepherd passed last year in February, just shy of her 5th birthday. A liver condition that she was born with, my dad passed a month later in March, and my husband lost his father later in the year.
Death can take a holiday from us for awhile.
Our other dogs are Tu-Tu, a yellow lab who lives up to her name-sometimes she's just too-too much...a boxer mix, Tippy. We adopted another dog, Charlie a German shepherd/great dane/mastiff mix..he's a mommy's boy for sure!
I work fulltime, 7:30-4:30 pm, get up at 5am...dang that's early, Monday-Friday.
I don't really work on bears much any more. But I sure do miss seeing my friends. I used to visit Celia Baham in San Jose at least twice a year, and it's been over 5 since we've seen each other. I do miss that.
Good to catch up with everyone!

Busser Bears
What a cutie!!
What a cutie!!
I love grizzly bears and this is perfect!! Grizzly's ARE fierce and I wouldn't want it to look any other way!! Put me on that list too, but in a woman's size.
hugs,
Leeann
Hey, stranger! I do remember you, too! I also have gone "rogue" and am working in the "real" world. I've remarried, have 4 dogs and just don't seem to have the time to create much anymore.
Welcome back!
hugs,
Leeann
Nothing better than being an oldie but a goodie! lol
I hope you will get some business with PeeWee and yes I did hear something about him doing a show...but it may have been some kind of reality show...now that would be some "reality"! lol
hugs,
Leeann
Karen posted this in a different section, but I think it should be for the General topics so more will see...I loved Pee-Wee's Playhouse and now that I know Karen designed some critters from there, wish I had them!
hugs,
Leeann
Inside Pee-Wee's Playhouse ~ Big Surprise for me, I was informed by the author, Caseen Gaines, that I was included in the book. Way back I designed the toys for the Pee Wee Herman Show, i.e. Pterry, Chairry, Vance the Talking Pig. I thought maybe a line or two but he gave me a whole page! Big deal for me, the book is on Amazon and in bookstores. Already I have had inquiries and questions. No money, but notice is nice, too

I have always believed that you can sense the history of the world by looking into a cat's eyes! This is what I try to capture in my cat sculptures. Only the cats with that certain "soul" leave my studio.
How cool is that! I loved that show! I worked at a woman's dress shop and would hurry home from lunch on Saturday's to catch the show and the "word of the day"! Are they still selling any of these? Love the show! Some really big movie stars were on there. Remember cowboy Curtis? Laurence Fishburn
Phil Hartman was on the show too. and the mail lady? S. Epatha Merkerson
Hey Karen, you should talk about working with Jim Henson....you are soooo talented!!
Hugs,
Leeann
