Oh Melisa...how GORGEOUS he is!!! I absolutely ADORE him!! One of these days I am going to have enough money to adopt one of your bears!!! 
How utterly disturbing that there are people in this world who have so little regard for life!! What a beautiful creature Sarah was!! This just makes me so very sad. 
I saw the Wild Kindom episode of Dr. Lynn (I actually have it saved on my DVR) when he tracked bears June & Juliet and their cubs...and while it was heartwarming and it made me smile, I bawled my eyes out when one of the little bear cubs, Mimi, got sick and died..and how the Mama bear Juliet was so upset knowing that her baby was dying...Oh it was just HEART WRENCHING!! Dr. Lynn talked about the hunters killing some of the bears that were tagged and collared. It is just so sad...they're such beautiful animals.
So many humans have lost their 'humanity'. This guy probably has no remorse either. Thank God there are still people that are doing something to make people aware...just like the people in the t.v. show 'Whale Wars'...and the people who made the documentary film...'The Cove' (I highly recommend it..but keep a box of kleenex handy).
What we all seem to forget is that as with Sarah...the creatures were on this planet first.

OHHHHH MYYYY!!!! That poor thing!! It's funny how the previous owners meant well...just like alot of us humans 'mean well' when we give our kids all that junk food that's plastered all over the t.v. and packed along the grocery aisles. We just want to make them 'happy'...and unfortunately this is the result much of the time. I'm glad she has a pro taking care of her...what's sad is that she probably doesn't understand why she can no longer have the food that she's been used to, so I hope they counter-act that with alot of attention.
I agree with you 'US BEARS'...if you get used to not eating something, your body really does stop craving it after a while. That's what happened with me with red meat and pork. I haven't eaten pork in over a year and I've eaten red meat probably twice in the past year. But OMG...I can't seem to get enough of my Bryers coffee ice cream lately...I go through a 1/2 gallon in 2 days!! WHAT IS WITH THIS WHOLE MENOPAUSE THING!!!! :crackup: :crackup:

Look who arrived yesterday...the bear Pat created for me...Ray!! He is absolutely AWESOME!! His beautiful hand dyed fur...and his little paw pads belly and ears even have hints of sparkly glitter!! Just FANTASTIC!! I took pics of him with and without his cute little visor.
He just exudes 'coolness' I keep thinking at any minute a Jamaican accented 'yaaaaa maaaaaan' is gonna come out of his mouth..teehee. I just love him to pieces...the cool colors are fabulous!! And I love his little starfish sidekick. I have a feeling these two left alone could get caught up in some mischief, so I'd best keep my eye on them..lol.

This is the bear I made for Pat in the summer bear swap. I can't seem to get the photo up in that post so I'll try to put it here. Her name is Sandy after the character in one of my favorite summer movies 'Grease'. As you can see she's wearing her itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikini which is needles felted onto her body. She also has a matching pink bow. Anyway, I'll keep trying to post it where it 'should' be.

This is 'Sandy', the bear I created for Pat. When I first signed up for the summer swap I knew I wanted to do something with an 'itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny-yellow-polka-dot bikini' cuz I think that old song is halarious, plus it's so 'summer'. So this is what I came up with. I named her 'Sandy' after the character in one of my all time favorite summer movies 'Grease'...plus her fur is the color of sand. I'm SOOOOO happy that Pat likes her!! And I cannot wait to get 'Ray'...I already know I'm just gonna LOVE him!!!

Well 'Sandy' is on her way to Pat today. I gave her lots of hugs and sent her on her way. It was alot harder to let her go than I thought it would be.
Maybe because she's only my 3rd bear, I don't know, but I told Pat I feel like a nervous Mom that is waiting for her child to arrive home safe and sound...haha. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just crazy?? 
At any rate I will be posting photos of her for Pat, as well as the bear that Pat has made for me when It arrives. Hope everyone is having a great day!!
