Thanx rowarrior for your help:) Nice to meet you!
Have a great saturday everybody...mine´s nearly over
Gaby
Peter, I´m on your side about this!
Art more and more needs to be provocative, otherwise it´s not called art anymore. Some turn tedy bears inside out, some plastinise human bodies and show them as pieces of art, others produce disgusting live size models of skinned dogs or bitten to death dogs and sell them on amazon, which does not mind at all, after several complaints.
A " normal" pretty piece of art is obviousely not interesting...what a shame...
Best regards
Gaby
Hello ladies & gents of the fluffy revolution,
some might still remember me, I´m the one from Vienna. No, not VA, but Austria :)
I haven´t had time to be around, nor to create a teddy ... but this will change!
Last week I visited my friends in VA and went to petsmat finding the most adorable cat there for rehoming.
I put him on my "give-your-loved-ones-a-gos-life"- blog, which I started to support a lady, who rescues dogs from Hungarian dogpounds from being euthanised, becuase even though I´m now on the other side of the world, this world is only about 2 feet long nowadays
Please take a look: http://schenkdeinenliebsteneinhundeleben.blogspot.com/
I know, that y´all love pets and I thought, if the ones near Herndon or Springfield might know somebody, who is in desperate need of a lovely chap like Dax, pleeeaaaazzzzeeee hand this information on!!!
Next week I´ll have surgery and then I´ll try to intensify my blog.
I hope, that you are all being well! The teddy creations look stunning, as always, and I promise, to drop by soon again.
Have a smashing weekend, everybody!!!

My heart goes out to those, who lost loved ones in these terrible flames!
It makes me sad, to think of all thes poor animals, that had to suffer there, too.
And worst of it: I just read, that obviousely people hat put land on fire.   - it happens every year all over the world, that people deliverately endanger lives of others!!!
Shane, LOL, not only fight back: one could get lost in the body while stuffing and never be seen again
Gaby
Jacqui, nice to see you  ...and  to this betraying person on ebay!
Gaby
Jane & Marilyn, I had the same thoughts....
It´s terrible, when they get so desperate, that they do things, they would usually not do...
Gaby
All these beautiful bears!
Kim, your Paula is adooooorable! She reminds me of a poor dog in a Hungarian animal shelter
I´d just love to pick him up and cuddle him!
Gaby
Awww, poor little baby! he probably suffered a lot but was lucky to find relieve. Makes me sad to think of all the poor creatures- 2 or 4 legged- that did not get any relief from this head!
I wish for you, that the temperature will get more "normal"!
Gaby
What a grat banner! I think, the colour scheme is just perfect for Aleta:)
Gaby
Maria, oh, wow, you had a wolfhound! Amazing!
Now, what you write about bandaging Humphrey: it´s hard to keep the bandage on the ear so I gently pulled the ear over her head and slid the piece I cut from some panties over the whole thing to keep it tight. Did help for a while....

I´ve got inspirational thingies all over the place, in my PC and in my head
Sure, I do have a folder with inspiration for bears. And I´ve got sketches and parts of patterns in the basement. And sometimes I find them as boiokmarks in a book or in my phone directory with a new phone number on it:)
I´ve got folders also for inspirations to make jewelry, one for nice things in the house, one for sewing dresses and one for designing an attachment to the house.
So one could think, I am wellest organised...could...think...
Now, first thing my inspiration leads me to: cleaning my work space in the baasement, to even have space to start...and then I´ll do some thinking:)

Oh SueAnn!
First of all: if it´s a small cut, no need to worry, but I guess, if it had been a big one, you´d have viosoted the vet already. The ears bleed so much, because they are so much more supplied with blood.
Still, I´d see the vet, so he´d put on some medicine to prefent an infection.
My dachshound had a time, when her hears bled a lot, and the vet showed me, how to wrap it properly. Duh! She came home, went to the bedroom, shook her head and teh blood went allllllll over the place. Even the ceiling and wall. ( Looked like I had killed somebody*G*)
All the best for Bailey!!!!
Gaby
Hello my fluffy friends!
I´m addressing you today for some in-side info on where to auction an old Steiff dog, to get the most benefit from it.
An Austrian lady wnats to donate the money she makes through auctioning this old Steiff dog to poor dogs in a killing station in Hungary.
I frequently donate money to save such a poor dogs life; a German organisation searches for great homes. Until then, they are quarantined and perfectly well looked after in a Hungarian animalshelter. The lady who runs it is devoted to the dogs and other animals; I´ve visited her twice with a load of food and other helpful things.
So, this is a trustful organisation, which I am willing to support, and which the lady also loved to support.
Now, what we´d like to know: where can she get the most out of this Steiff pekingese dog? Any suggestions??
Thanx in advance!
Gaby
Oh, wow, with the Euro being so strong, this would have been a real good deal for me...if I´d not have enough mohair anyway and if I´d have more time!
Gaby
Jenny, you´re not telling me, that you´re a grandma? :)
What a cute we baby!
All the best wishes for baby & the family!
Gaby
what a talented family!!!
All the best to you, too!!!!

Gaby
Karen, where would we end up, if everybody could send and receive kitten noses just like that!
Gaby
We won´t have a christmas tree this year; not enough space and a young dog.
But appart from that: here, in the middle of Europe Christkindl brings the christmas tree on 24th Dec evening. Usually after dinner, which is fish on 24th.
There is special bell, that moms are ringing hiddenly to make everybody know, that Christkindl had arrived, but oh- Christkindl is quick! So many kids to make happy, so, at the moment when the kids enter the room, Christlindl is gone through the window.
Can you imagine, what a stress it is for moms to decorate a christmas tree hidden, while the kids are usually veing taken care of my grandmo or are gone to a museum with dad. And then to make sure, that the window is open, BEFORE you ring the bell, in order to make it look realistic when the kids come in...
And we don´t have a Santa Clause- or rather HAD, because since some years this Mr.Santa Claus is trying to push our Sankt Nikolaus, who only comes to the good children on the evening of Dec 6th, out off business.
I am pro Sankt Nikolaus!:)
...and I love your beautiful trees!
And Brenda, I´m with you: white lights are nicer...
Gaby
Aleta, your idea is grrrreat! Bless you for what you do.
Now, apart from all these electronic gadgets I found, that children nowadays still love to use pencils and know how to draw and express their ideas.
Something that deffinitely needs to be supported!
All the best for your project!
