Jenny, I noticed this a few weeks ago, but never mentioned it here.  I got on Live Chat with eBay and got the run around.  All of the responses I received about it were those genereal automated sounding responses like, "Oh! I see!  I understand, let me look into that for you..." I got so frustrated with the 'guy' who was taking forever to respond with, like I said, these automated responses, that I blew up and wrote a long message to him saying that 'eBay has me more ond more frustrated by the day... first eBay holds my funds which I worked so hard for, then they change the site around, which I never complained about, and now they've 'gotten rid of' our artist bears catergory in eBay pulse and all I get are slow, automated sounding responses via "LIVE CHAT".'  He disconnected fromt he chat without another word. By then I was FUMING.  Another person joined and I asked if she was a manager, since I was HOPING they'd left to get a manager, and she was like, "Huh? no"  and I told her what happened and she said that eBay had had many complaints about the eBay Pulse set up and she didn't know what they were doing about it.  Nice.  By then I was so tired, irritated, annoyed... spent that I was like, "Nevermind.... I'll be back at a later time...."

Sooo... there was MY eBay Pulse experience...

By the way, eBay sent me a survey, which I was mooore than happy to fill out.

Jenny, that is EXACTLY what I think... I think 'What if it's just someone screwing with my auction??'  I do remember back when I just first started eBaying, I did the same thing.  I'd bid, then bid $5 more, then $5 more, trying to beat the other person out.  Now as an experienced eBayer I will just bid my highest, or close to, and only bid maybe a couple of times before giving up.  I just can't help but to think that when this happens, that it's someone trying to sabatage my auction.  Is that silly for me to think??  Like I said, it only happens once every maybe 5 or more auctions, but it still makes me paranoid!  But I DON'T want to reverse a truly legitimate bid!

I did contact them, haven't gotten a response, but then I think "Being new to eBay, do they know they have a message or know how to reply?" I mean, it's pretty darn simple, but ya never know!

BearBottoms

Hi all, thank you SOOO much fr our input.  You all said pretty much what I was thinking myself!  I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I know I had 0 feedback once as well! lol  Also, that's what I was telling my friend, that I don't know... I mean, what if they saw Sassafras from a friend and just fell in love, but didn't have an account?  So I hate to block new eBayers, but I just feel so darned nervous!  I think I will give this person the benefit of the doubt, and if it ends up being bad then I will have learned my lesson!  Thanks again!!!

BearBottoms

Hey all, typically I don't get bidders with 0 feedback, but they do happen from time to time.  Every time I get one, I get all paranoid!  What do you all do about 0 feedback bidders??  The one I have right now on Sassafras' auction isn't winning, but it still makes me nervous about it!  They had bid, like 15 times!! Help! Please!

Debbie, yes we met both his mom and dad... his mom was I think 60 lbs and his dad was about 70 lbs.  So he IS going to be a big boy! I guess it just really didn't dawn on me until everyone said 'look at those FEET!' LOL  bear_wacko

Yes, I had really better hold him while I still can!

I have tons of pics of Frodo, I'll get a few more funny ones on!

BearBottoms

Oh gosh, thank goodness she is safe!  One good thing will come of it, she will be more vigilant and wary int he future!

P.S. Kim, he only snores those bitty puppy snores.. the ones that sound like rumbly growls... hee hee hee, and I'm not quite sure what he dreams of, but sometimes he full-out puppy growls in his sleep!  bear_laugh

Bobby and Wendy... I KNOW!!!  We've only had him a week and a half and already he's plumped up to where I told him earlier that I wasn't going to be able to scoop him up and carry him down the stairs or hold him in my arms much longer... to which he replied, "Sure you can, mom!"  bear_tongue

Amazing photos... What a horrible disaster Ike left in its wake. I hadn't really looked at many photos of what happened with Ike until now. Thanks for sharing... That single house.... *shakes head*

Awesome! I went to an Elton John concert several years ago; it was great!

I have to say my favortie song is Daniel.  That's my uncle's name... he died when he was 19 (long before I was born) in a car accident when he and his buddies were driving recklessly. I always think about my dad when I hear that song.

BearBottoms

Woo hoo!!!! Fantastic Catherine!!!   Congratulations!!

You know what I love the most about this picture and story? It is that a monkey (which is typically much stronger than they seem for their size) and the pigeon (one of which I used to have.. LOVED her and still think about her... a fragile bird) are embraced so gently and lovingly.  The monkey clearly finds comfort in this bird and s/he holds her so gently... bear_original bear_original

Hey, great tip!!  I usually use my fingernail (I know, it warrants a 'WHAT?' response!) and have buried quite a few needles under my nail.... OUCH!  Rubber gloves are an inexpensive, fantastic alternative! Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Wonderful and beautiful! I love seeing and learning things like this... thanks for sharing!

....when your children dare not ask you ANYTHING while you are taking photos of your bears for auction because they fear the seething, snarling monster mom beast they'll face!

OR

...when people drive past you on your front porch doing a photo shoot with stuffed animals and you can practically see their necks break doing one of those 'what the HECK is she doing??' looks.

Thank you all SO much for your wonderful compliments!!!  I am just smiling ear to ear ober here with all the nice things that you've said!  Thank you!! bear_original bear_original bear_original
