hi

I love your site. It has the nicest feeling, I am absolutely in love with Tina. That tutu and the tail sticking out. Just too wonderful for words. There were a couple of links that didnt work but see you are working on that so will pop back in a few days.  But a really really nice site.

Hi Jane, I had to go and look for the photos, i havnt been here long enough to see them. What fun. Bit like having an alter ego to do stuff you wouldnt... I mean given a body like some I would also romp around in a bikini etc.

I hate having my photo taken personally. I think there is something wrong with the camera  bear_tongue  but to be included in something like that would be such fun.

I really wouldnt take the negative comment personally. Dont even know if the person was portrayed??? Therein could lie the rub. If left out they could feel they should be in the pics and if in the pics they could.... oh who knows....

I think you are wonderful, (well obviously we all do). And maybe the person who commented is just having a hard time and need a hug.

Carolynn

That is a good idea, Wendy. I have a horrid moth eaten thing I drag around with me. How clever. and Oh dear Daphne, sorry I got you side tracked.

A year ago when I thought I might like to market my bears I had no idea just how much was involved. Stupid really. I have owned a business before. But it doesnt stop with sewing. Well sometimes you cant even get to the sewing. But love the diverse things you have to do and learn. Makes it interesting. The most eyeopening thing was designing my web. That even impressed my kids,

Carolynn

I started designing yesterday, thanks to you all I think it is looking good. The acid test will be to print and see if it is in proportion to the  bear etc. Well when I have finished playing with it... I have decided not to use tush tags, think that is getting a bit silly with a tiny bear. I cannot thank all of you enough for your help.

When you have to pick bear fluff out of your husbands hair bear_whistle

Carolynn

bear_flower  thank you for making me feel so encouraged and motivated.... your kind comments have made my day

Carolynn

Kimberley I dont think you could be too tickled, he is well deserving of that. The video is the best. Those two are going to be two terrors. Hats off to you for still being able to sew with all that fun going on around you.

Carolynn

too cute, so lovely watching them grow and develop personalities. Enjoy them

Carolynn

he is beautiful. Well done you

Carolynn

Thank you Daphne, Alison and Wendy, that took the stress out of that one. My bears are all under 3 inches so that was bad enough. At least I dont have to worry about stepping on toes too. I am quite restricted with what I can get here too so have to be a bit inventive. But that I guess is one of the challanges too. Cant just pick up stuff to play with, have to think things through and order what I may need and then wait for it.

But your answers have given me something to work on. Thank you Wendy for showing me your hang tags.

Carolynn

oh Daphne, remember that post well... sewing machines and fingers dont go well at all.

The rest good too. I used to think there was only a "right" way to do this... learning that it is great to think a bit differetly, some of the restuls are amazing, ok others not so hot, but learn every day.

Carolynn

Please can someone tell me how to approach this. I am working on my first set of "for sale bears" so need a hang tag/ tush tag design. I am quite excited to do this but terrified I accidentally use something similar to someone elses. After all this would be your recognised "trade mark". I have googeld as much as I can but dont seem to find anything.  I have come to realise that this is a group with a huge amount of integrety, and would hate to be seen to "stealing" something.

Carolynn

My favorite was to leave the top of the arm or leg open for stuffing. You can then sew around the washer. I find this gives a wonderful shape Was a very old tip and I cant find it again to thank the person who posted it. But it sure works for me.

Carolynn

Hi Sam

Was just thinking the other day that I hadnt seen your Bear. Did I miss a post? Know you a very busy young lady, but was so impressed with all your activitis and the fact that you make bears too. would love to see the "strange" one

Carolynn

That is absolutey beautiful, well done. I can imagine you had loads of fun. Cant wait for the next one.

Carolynn

How horrible, but what a sensible young lady. Pleased she is safe and has also possibly prevented anything happening to other girls. There are merits to cell phones. At least she could contact you. Good luck. Although I would suspect they have moved on. Bullies like that are normally cowards too.

Carolynn

Jane and Christine, should we book into the same home?

Carolynn

Hi Jane

Thank you for taking the time to take all of the amazing photos of Hugglets. Was almost like being there. What wonderfully talented people there are. Now going to save, if not next year, then certainly the next, I am going to be there too. And Maria thank you for taking Jane's photo. Looks like a good time had by all.

Carolynn

Was just thinking about competitions the other day. I entered a couple and was alway really nice to have feed back. Other people you know just tell you the bears are cute. Nice having suggestions and comments. Like Marg was saying, ear placement etc. I always got good comments (dont want to sound big headed) but it is the odd critique that I really appreciated. My one bear had a scarf on and was too heavy for the size of the bear. That has always made me think about accessories now. Love learning from other people.  And I could never be a judge. But Marge your bears and very very good. Well done you

Carolynn

oh, P.S. I used a Jamie Oliver recipe for toad in the hole once and the gravy was super yummy, more like onion marmalade/gravy, used red onions. very very tasty

Carolynn

that is not fair... looks toooo good. well done you. Now I really  NEED yorkshire pud bear_whistle

Carolynn

What an amazing young lady, and her essay and artwork is very good. 1st vote done. Will pass on to friends too. I can think of many people that can take a leaf out of her book.
