I so wish I could finish mine...the bear is mostly sewn and the cat is cut out so when I get this cast off perhaps I will finish them anyway even though I missed the challenge!
It looks great dangerbears!
I always use waxing too but I've been wondering about the varnish too!
She is wonderful...
Oh yes me too. Of course I'll need air fair too...
Me too...I have some things people ordered I need to finish!!!
It hurts like ***************** but I have some pain meds to take when I go to bed. Don't want to take them during the day...
Well, now it really looks like I am going to be a no show! I finished my other bear but this morning I fell and broke my right wrist...of course the right one....
She is just beautiful...very elegant indeed. I sure wish she were coming to my house....
My ordered bear is coming along nicely but my challenge bear is in a bag AGAIN!
Well, I am already in a mess...I got another order for a bear. I may never get mine done but I'll try...
She is so cute. I love her. Best of luck with e-bay!
Oh, I would love to but I have so many bears to complete for people now! If I get caught up I will put my name in!!!
I don't think we should send the fabric though...that is part of the fun of making the bear...picking out the fabric!!!
They sure put a big smile on my face...
What a cute little guy...especially for your first bear. If you want to design your own bears I would suggest getting Ted Mentens book "Teddy Bear Studio" it is a world of advice and gives you patterns to start from and tells you how to go about designing your own patterns!
He is a beautiful bear. Hope he gets a home that loves him lots!
If you don't find exactly what you want there are wonderful artist here that might be happy to design and make exactly the bear you want!
Me either!
I always do my body and limbs first then the head. I do not like to see a headless bear...freeky! Also, I want to see the whole when I am working. One thing I do before attaching the head is the embroidery for the nose. Easier for me to flip around that way...
This sounds like fun! I have a bear cut out that has been put away for a long time waiting for the right white mohair for his tummy. I want to finish him. Plus, I have a cat in mind for my bed and if I can find some affordable white mohair I would love to make her.
Paula, my suggestion would be to get Ted Mentens book "Teddy Bear Studio". It's a great book and explains how to design any bear you want.
Oh boy...here's one for me! How about finishing a bear you started long ago and left undone...
This is sounding fun...except for the wild bear one. I would love to do one of those but I am not up to that yet!
I like Harry! He looks like a very happy bear.
I think perhaps if you move the ears up just a tiny bit the head won't look square!
