That is great Terrie, I'm glad to hear you sold a few pieces I am so sad I missed the show. I need my bear gabbing fix.. no one else understands.. ~sniff ~sniff... I will have to give Jinny a call this week. I am still trying to get her to sign up for Teddy Talk, I know she would have fun here.
Sounds like more bear people were there this year.. Kristina was in Ontario too so she missed the show too.

Just wondering who made it to the show on the 23rd. I missed the show for the first time since I think 1993 
I was in Toronto for gaming invasion with my b/f. It was an awesome trip and I've never flown or been anywhere.. but I am a little sad I missed my show! Hope it went well for everyone!

I have a Husqvarna and I love the thing. I've had it for probably around 13 years and it still works awesome. the only issue I ever had with it is the little bobbin sensor that tells you that you are going to run out of thread got clogged with mohair (I didn't know you should clean under the plate once in awhile..lol). I had a cheap Singer before that (and a Kenmore before that, which I hated), which I thought worked fine.. but after getting the Husqvarna, well that poor Singer has not been used since.. lol.
Best thing to do, as everyone else has mentioned, go try out the machines in the store and see which one worls the best for you.

What a sweetie! How lucky you are to have a new baby! I adore black cats... I'll stick with Paula's comment about it being the witch in me.. hehehe. I have my black licorice Maine Coon 'Ghost' who is staying with my Mom and Dad and I miss him terribly.

Yeah, my old studio was huge... it has another whole room to it with my computer desk, doll house and more storage cabinets. I think we are all plastic pin Junkies.. lol... I don't know what I would do without them.. and the "bad" part is.. when one is full... we go out and get some more to fill.. lol.
I have a corner desk now to work at.. the lighting is sooo not good, but I have one of those fluorescent lights that has a magnifying glass in it and that helps alot. It is a functional little space though.. it just makes things more difficult (aka one tub of fabric 
.. oh the horror!.. heehee). Everything else is an hour drive away at my parents house.. which gives me an excuse to go visit.. but a pain when you are inspired and just wanting some ribbon or fabric dye. I'll take a pic of my little space when I get home, I'm even working on some new bears!

Last month my B/F won a video game tournament which includes a trip for 2 to Toronto for the finals. I was wondering, if there are any Teddy bear shops that I can visit while we are there? Or anything else we should go and see?
I have never been anywhere and never been on a plane, so I am very nervous.. but excited! It's in September and I had to cancel a show because it's on the same weekend... So I am hoping for a Teddy bear fix somewhere! .. lol.

I have always wanted to be in the special effects trade, doing movie props... like sculpting monsters... Or I'd love to run a seasonal Halloween haunted house. Or have an antique arcade, with old fortune telling machines and Pinball, and new games too. Or a Teddy bear, doll, miniature and Collectible store that had classes on making things. I'd also like to start making more dolls.. I have so many doll ideas.
Lol, man, I sound kind of loopy. These are actually my dreams of what I want to be doing.. I kind of got sucked into the family business instead, which is fine, not really my cup of tea, but I guess it pays the bills... lol.

Oooh, I love seeing everyone's work spaces! I am sooo envious... I can't wait to move. I can upload a pic of what my studio use to look like. I want to get a house with a loft so I can make that my new studio.. I found one place that would have been perfect but was not in a very good area Anway, here is my old studio and while I was working on some bears. 
My sewing machines are on another desk around the corner.. there are storage cabinets along the one side and
I have all my fabrics in big trunks that I stack.

My mohair is stored folded in huge trunks.. I think if I had the space I would hang it in a closet though.. it would be easier to see what you have instead of digging through trunks.. lol.

lol, I am still exhausted.. but I think that is mostly due to the stress of knowing I have to get a wisdom tooth out tomorrow .
Krista, little Riley is being a good little bear, Brad said he looks like his stepmom.. lol.. and he kind of does with the Green eyes with the ginger and blonde hair.. lol. SOooo Brad has been calling him Brenda.. 
Glad to hear everyone else had fun and decent sales.. It's a shame more people didn't make it.. but at least people were shopping, yay!
I think next year with more word out it will be even better!

Omg, I have pretty much lost my voice from talking too much today.. lol. I got up at 5am to start my travels to Calgary from Edmonton.
The show was so much fun! It was awesome to put faces to names, bears to makers .. and of course to visit with people I have not seen since the bear fair. I came home with one of Krista's sweeties.. I just love him! yay! Soo many wonderful bears I wanted to bring home with me.. I kept trying to bear-nap bears... but no one was falling for my "HEY, look over there!", teeheee. I got some awesome fabrics too, which I have been dreaming about now since I got back... like I needed more fabric, hahaha, But I "needed" it.. lol.
It was exciting to attend an all bear show again.. Thank you Heather for putting in the effort to bring us a show!
I didn't take any pictures... but I saw Heather and others running around with a camera :photo: so I'm sure they will post some
But anyway, I have been driving for 7 hours today and I am toooooooo tired... I just wanted to pop in since I didn't see anyone else
post yet. It was awesome meeting so many of you... my appologies if I missed anyone from here.. I tried to make sure I attacked everyone heehee.
