I have been looking at this question for some time. I would never infringe on someone's copywright knowingly but...after so many years of teddy bears can you actually make a pattern that has not been tried before? I designed a pattern that I really like and was quite proud of it until I saw a bear almost exactly like it. Now I know she didn't see mine and I hadn't seen hers but they are quite similiar. That is what got me to thinking about this subject. And, perhaps you saw a bear some time ago and not really remembering you make a pattern that looks like a really cute bear...not remembering that you had seen one similiar years ago? There are so many IF'S in this thing it makes my head swim!
By the way, the bear in my siggy is the one I made the pattern for!
Oh, I don't like you...I'm jealous. Your first bear is beautiful. Mine aren't that good and I have been making them for a little while. You are one talented lady...
Like her...I am in love with her!!! She is just terrific!
Take a look in Ted Menton's Teddy Bear Book. He not only gives you patterns but instructs you in how to change them to make whatever kind of bear you want. Great book!
There is one for sale here on this forum...
Unlike the plastic joints the only way I can tighten bolts or cotter pins is with open bear surgery!
What a clever idea...best of luck to you with it!
I use beeswax too...buy it from my favorite fabric store. they stock it for running your thread through...most have it!

Vera is so wonderful. I just love her... I bet your Mum was very happy to receive her for her birthday!

I like to put handmade sweaters on mine...especially in the winter. They look so very cute in them.
If I can't get my plastic joints tight enough I have hubby squeeze them tighter. If all else fails I have a tool I stole from my hubby's tool box that just fits over the post and I put it on and tap it with a hammer. Works great and my joints are nice and tight. Of course for that one you would have to open the seams but at least it's not major!
All my bears drink tea...no coffee allowed!
All sales are down...bears and all other things...especially those that are not necessary!

Big hugs to you dear. I had a good friend that had it and it did take time to heal. Not fun at all! I pray for a speedy recovery for you...
